Wolves could leave Molineux!

In a article in fcbusiness, chairman Jeff Shi is preparing the ground with the fans for a move away from Molineux. He states that the club are looking to build a 50k seater stadium but is unsure that the current site is big enough.
There are big decisions to be made at the end of the season.

For me Molineux is our home it's our history and an out of town stadium would be soleless.

I stated a long time ago when all this extension idea was going on, that it would be unrealistic to have a stadium with more than 40,000 capacity, as we wouldn't fill it every week. We could probably achieve 38,000- 40,000 staying put. This season will be a good indicator as to how many we can get through the turnstiles.

Sunshine, this season is just the start. to need a 50,000 seater stadium will take a lot more than one good season in the Prem.

But if we can challenge for the top, if we can challenge in Europe and start winning in major competitions, that will be the time to judge.

I keep pointing it out, but China could be huge in our future.

Last time we had this conversation, we ended up in League One because of that ridiculous looking North Bank.

Invest that (potential) £800m in a new stadium elsewhere - like on the bloody pitch.

That ridiculous looking North Bank has been very much needed this season, as will a much increased capacity in the future.

Fans seem to only see short term, with no idea about building for the long term.

amiga...like games, I'm taking every season as we go. To look too far into the future is futile Imo. There are reports that the Chinese government are not too happy with money leaving the country and may well clamp down on it in the future. Right now, we're doing well with investments on the pitch. So let's just wait and see how we get on and what the crowds are like before even thinking about moving away from Molineux.

Remember the last time we went up? Agreed, we didn't have the quality of players that we have now, but we couldn't fill the stadium then. Plus if we lose a few games, which we're bound to do, then let's just see how many bums we get on seats.
