I found this article over the weekend and thought it might be of interest to some of our younger supporters who know little of one of the brightest young teams in our history (Before we existed obviously).

Glad it bought back a few memories for you Mike. It's always been a period that's had a bit of an emotional attachment for me as I discovered Chelsea through those Typhoo tea football team football cards around 1964 - in fact I still wear the 64 retro shirt to games as Summer 69 will attest to!
To think if you'd tried a little harder Mike, you could have been on one of those cards!

Just seen this article. Good find brum! As one of the younger generation, or probably middle aged compared to some of the really young'uns it's always good to know about your clubs history. Having grown up watching old vhs's on our 70s team i've always had a soft spot for the clubs history.
probably underachieved with the talent we had until the dreaded 80s came.

Rejected 3 times and still a fan Mike, that's what I like to hear.
I was at a youth team of another London club for 2 years. Would I ever support them over chelsea? not a chance!
