Ok so we finally get our first big game of the season this weekend. Away to Spurs who incidentally will also be playing away (bizarre) but nevertheless, I think this will be a true indication of who's the better side. At a neutral ground, no holds barred match. There will be blood.
To be completely honest, I'm a lil scared that we'll catch a hiding from this Spurs team. One of the best goalkeepers in the league. The best defence in the league. The most balanced midfield in the league. The best striker in the world. The best manager on a shoe-string budget. Then you take into account that this Spurs side is the most consistent team in the history of the premier league...over the last 3 seasons. It all points to a whacking imo.
I mean from our side we dont have much to offer. We got a goalkeeper that does Cruyff turns in his box. 3/4 of our defence being 24 & under coupled with the most expensive defender in the world, who is better with the ball at his feet than defending. Our midfield consists of James Milner & Jordan Henderson ffs
What was the most feared front 3 in the league last season, hasn't seemed to click just yet.
I think Spurs are in for a comfortable 1-0 win with a penalty from Kane.
Pre-match build up...build up

I would love a dodgy penalty winner.

No, I'd like a good form winner.

I'm more concerned about Lloris being out for "several weeks"...

He's going to need a ride to the game!

Lots of genuinely interesting posts, for a change. Very hard game to call, neither side firing full on yet, esp up front for us.
It will be interesting to see if Fabinho makes it to the bench, if he's ready to go yet. Shaq has got to be at least on the bench, he was my MOTM on Tuesday, with Rose coming a very close second. Maybe he ran himself into the deck in order to prove just how good he is, and he is.
Result? Anyone's guess. What I don't anticipate is a repeat result from last season.
Prediction? a Reds win.
There, if that's not the kiss of death for us I don't know what is!

Preview of #JokeReferee Michael Oliver in charge of #TOTLIV this weekend.
- Spurs have won last 8 matches with Oliver
- Oliver has reffed 33 #LFC matches & LFC won only 14
- Last time Spurs lost with Oliver was early 2016
The deck seems stacked in this one - doesn't it ?

Don't Liverpool win about 50% of their games? So you're record in Oliver matches is just under average. Nothing to see here.
