DUFC 1 GMFC 1

It finally happened.

Towards the end of the latest in a long line of disappointing performances, as United trailed to an early Morton penalty, the fans who remained broke into a chorus of 'Csaba, get to fluck'. I'm surprised it's not happened earlier.

And he heard it. Of course he heard it. And it resulted in him, in the aftermath of Fraser Fyvie's late equaliser - the captain coming on as a sub on 70 minutes - turning to the United fans and giving them a GIRFUY sign.

I think it's fair to say that the relationship between fans and manager is irreparably broken now.

To the game though - it was turgid dross from United throughout. We saw plenty of the ball but we did little with it, and it was tough to see where a goal was going to come from. We had nothing going forward and the manager compounded things by waiting and waiting and waiting to make his changes. He could have made changes at half time. He should have made changes 10 minutes into the half. It was criminal that he waited until 70 minutes to make his first change, then another 10 minutes or so to make a second and third change.

I say compounded, because it was his tactics that were utterly baffling. If anyone at the game wants to explain to me what we were doing on our right hand side then I'm all ears. Watson seemed to be playing as an inverted full back, nominally playing at right back but then stepping into a sort of inside right midfielder? With Aird playing more as a right wing back - I think. Either way it was a mess and didn't work.

Hard to pick a good performance out of the players on the park. I thought the new lad Bouhenna actually played quite well despite giving away the penalty for holding at a corner. I think there's a player in Safranko up front. Beyond that...it was poor.

For me too many players hid. I saw Loemba getting a bit of stick but at least he constantly showed for the ball. Our wide player on the other side, Aird, constantly hid and barely showed for the ball throughout. The same can be said for a number of the players - Barton tries to stroll through the game despite being a poor player and his midfield partner Rabbitsch is an abomination of a player. Neither full back (or whatever they were) wanted the ball and Curran was never involved.

The club needs to act to remove the manager now. The fans are drifting away in their numbers, and they'll continue to do so if this kind of performance is allowed to keep being repeated. We average 1.6 points per game - that's not good enough for a team that should be aiming for the top of the league.

Csaba Out.

Looks like Jackie Mac wants his job back.

Surely be a good appointment welcomed by the fans?

Speaking to a Dundee-supporting workmate and he's saying how little he misses going to the games, with it being the first season he's not had a season ticket in decades. Got to say, I'm feeling the same. Just such an air of negativity around anything United-related. We're not even so spectacularly bad that it's comical, just utter dross in a league where only being slightly dross will get you promoted.

Also Dundee sucks and the V&A is an eyesore.
