I don't really follow lower league football, but I have been doing my homework on it recently, in preparation for next season. I wonder who is favourite to be sacked first out of the 2? If we lose badly to Hibs that will be it. You guys will need to have a similarly poor result at the weekend to compete.

1.6 points per game....not good enough?

Seems good enough for the Rangers supporters on here.

I think Neil will go first because there's been chat recently that we might be in negotiations about a takeover - all whispers and rumours of course - and if that's the case then they'll not want to appoint a new manager before a new guy comes in.

Can't see either lasting much longer though.

Obviously this thread is about Rangers.

I feel our need for points is greater.

On a more positive note, that's the V&A open now so everyone should go and visit it. What a terrific addition to the city and the positivity around the place - football apart - is just fantastic to see.

A terrific piece in the Guardian yesterday by Kevin McKenna outlining the undeserved stick that the city of Discovery gets from the rest of Scotland.

I would argue this is the schitest the Dundee teams have been in my lifetime, haven't seen a lot of Utd, but Dundee are awful, they will let Hamilton get another escape from getting relegated mores the pity

I think we were worse when we were mid table in the Championship.

We are a slightly better team than St Mirren, but their new manager will turn it around. The only other team that can threaten us for relegation is Hamilton. So we need to act fast or will end up cut adrift. I sat next to Gordon Strachan at a match a while ago. This gives me the right to go to his house and beg for him to come and be our manager.

The manager seriously gave you it back?

You are spot on, that is the moment when you know the relationship is done. It may have been a moment of indignation from him but that's about it

Have you been in yet? I avoided at the weekend as it was always going to be ridiculously busy.

No - I was the same as you as it was going to be stowed out.

Probably not getting to go for a couple of weeks. I was hoping to go in after work on Wednesday as I'm down in Dundee every Tuesday/Wednesday but I think it might close at 5?

Ivan, if Lazlo went, who would you want brought in?

That is the problem - I don't know.

I think the guy St Mirren have appointed would have been a good shout. I think it needs to be someone who knows Scottish football and knows the Championship. I don't think it'll be an inspiring appointment but ultimately it'll need to be someone who can take us up.

I'd be tempted to go for a younger coach but I don't think we'll do that. I think it'll be seen as being too risky.

My worry is we'll make the wrong appointment. Again.

What's Mixu Patelinian up to these days?

He's the manager of the Latvian national team I think.
