Was just reading about Aguero signing a new deal at City and saw in the comments a lot of people were praising him as the best player in Prem history. Now it can’t just be me that thinks this is just pure madness? I wouldn’t even have him in my top 10. While I can appreciate he is a world class player (when fit) he’s not above the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Cantona, Shearer, Gerrard, Ronaldo and Giggs to name but a few. Or would you guys place him higher?

Bit of a weird comment from Shearer as he’s in no way better than Henry. Could be argued second to him as best foreign striker though I suppose.

Henry was imho quite bit ahead of what Aguero is now. Henry scored loads, including spectacular ones, and had a fair share of assists.

Shearer didn't score that many between 98 to when Robson arrived from what I remember. Those injuries done in him a little.

Aguero should beat Henry's goals total this season but Thierry's goalscoring rate was phenonomal.
