So with the momentous news that Mel and Sam have made up we approach with no trepidation the distracting factor of a match versus Chelsea in the Rumbelows Cup. I ‘ain’t bothered really, ‘cos I know that Chelsea are more in fear of this game despite their protestations to the contrary.
Let us also take a moment to consider the events at the King Power and soberly reflect that it is just a game and send The Faithful’s sympathy towards the families of those devastated by this tragedy. .
Apologies for the untardiness of this thread – I will be in transit tomorrow and busy on Wednesday but will be available to watch on Wednesday night.
Chelsea can either stick or twist. The risk is all theirs. It has become traditional for premier pseudo ‘giants’ to field a weakened team when playing Championship teams but Derby are in good form and will give pause for thought to the Gazprom Boys. Don’t worry the money’s all legit – Putin has allowed it so …………………so far……
Also the connection with Frank, apparently he used to play for Chelsea and England. So there you go. Frank also played for them when they were good and not when they were rubbish and when no-one went.
My Chelsea story – met Ken Bates and his missus when staying at that dreadful hotel on the Bridge site (Copthorne?) – I shook his hand (checked my wallet) and his wife remarked on how nice I smelt. So there you go.
We have a dilemma with full-backs at the moment – unless you are Baz and then you don’t. Malone looked knackered on Saturday – maybe Forsyth will slot back in. Do we play Davies instead of Tomori and will Nugent start? Can’t see Bryson being ready but beyond that, it’s too early in the week to speculate, unless of course you post below.
Big-up to The faithful making the trip down – even bigger-up if we are able to come back with the victory. Can’t wait for their excuses. And to those who say money can’t buy everything, it can buy 5 Premier Leagues, 7 FA Cups, Five Coca-Cola Cups and 4 Charity Shields. So there.

If money can't buy happiness, then are the poorest the happiest?

Keogh couldn't have done much different with the own goal...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
...because he’s crap. He had time enough to adjust his feet to attempt the clearance with his favoured foot when it was originally destined to be a ‘wrong foot’ kick into touch so yes, he could have done much different, he just didn’t because he’s garbage.
Tomori and Bogle are young and will learn, but not if they’re playing alongside that berk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well of course he could and that Frankie Is A Legend is also a huge berk for picking him, match, after match ,after match. It's not that he has no alternative.
You would think he would have learned by now. And as for the berk who has made him skipper of his national team - he is an even bigger berk?
Or....... Hang on a bit! it's just occurred to me, it might be that non-attending fat guy from Chaddesden who is the biggest berk of all?

We could have actually beat Chelsea 2-1 in their own back yard last night, (my prediction incidentally)!

I had it 1-3. Which, if you look at it in a numerically alternative way, could well have been correct. Extra Peeder points for me I think

Derby were much better side and Chelsea were lucky.
But Forest brought more fans than you when they came down!
