After Becchio's appearance on Saturday it now means they have both played the same amount of games for Leeds, Becchio scoring 51 goals, and Beckford 72.
I think that over these 126 appearances, Becchio's have been better. He was in Beckfords shadow for the League One seasons, and many of us doubted weather he would be able to make the step up to the Championship, but he proved us wrong with a great goal scoring season last season. Also Becchio does alot more of the work - tracking back, making tackles + putting in 100% into his games, sometimes I feel Beckford didn't do that. Beckford will only be remembered for his goal scoring - Bristol Rovers and the mancs.
What do you think?
Becchio/Beckford

Well said Jonty on that one. I think Beckford was great for us and sometimes it hints at sour grapes by some fans (i hasten to add some not all)

Beckford's pace (which no-one else in that Div3 side had) and his ability to score superb goals on the turn, out of nothing etc was unique in that team.
It's my belief that without and relying instead on the likes of Kandol or Enoch would have seen us still in Div3 today.

These are all if buts and maybes. Becchio actually hasn't suddenly started scoring more since Beckfords left, so I don't know why you would think he would have.
The facts are, we got promoted with Beckford scoring a hell of a lot of goals.
