Thinking players from other leagues must be better than what we already have?
A couple of casting points.....Morata has 1-2 CL Winners Medals to his name and without checking at least 1 title winners medal?
Would a coach who trusted say....Tammy have gotten as much or more out of Tammy for Chelsea as we've seen from Morata? He certainly could be more suited to the physical aspects of our league.
Then we sold/lost a midfielder last in 2017 for £5m and bought a player from Monaco for £40m.
Many of us (if you're honest) were quite happy with the purchase at the time.
But it got me thinking having seen some comments on Twitter today. Do (based on assumptions they're better) the overseas players get more slack from the fans than the English players?
And have the Club overlooked players we've already had based on similar assumptions?
As a side issue...... Has our academy players in terms of progress at our club, been to a certain extent casualties of the success the 1st team have had over the past 15 years? If so how does it change?
Because for me it would mean the board changing its mindset.
Any gripes with Sarri at all? In spite being unbeaten I do think CHO and Ampadu should have featured more in Europe and League Cup.
Are the Club and we the fans, guilty of....

What do we have to lose? The younger player might be a bit crap and a liability? Big deal we can faciliate one young player / liability in the team, i mean we have 2 most weeks with morata and willian

The Europa League campaign is the perfect opportunity to give players minutes and see what they can do.
Sometimes though, it needs circumstances...
For all of the goodwill to Poch for promoting youth, he has been very hesitant to do so for some time. A lot of our promising young players have stagnated
It took injuries for him to play young Foyth last week at Wolves, in which he conceded two penalties. Kudos to him for starting him again at Palace though, when we had other options

Morata is a water of time he seems to have no hunger or desire to improve and be the best. He needs to go.

I have 0 complaints about sarri. Plus he has plays youth and rotated this year.
Rlc, Barkley, Christensen all got solid time this year, Cho has got a few minutes, all while navigating injuries to Pedro and hazard. And we are unbeaten in all competitions.
I have never seen anything in Abraham’s game to suggest he would be a top striker.

Nathan Ake as well, recalled by Conte to basically make, what, 2-3 appearances in the final 6 months of the season? After starting every game at Bournemouth for the first half of the season. Now being linked with a whole host of big clubs. This one is perhaps less tenuous as Rudiger is a good buy and now we’ve switched from 3atb Ake doesn’t have a case to start. But players like Ake, Chalobah, easily had a case to at least be seen as squad players to supplement.
Also at the time Bakayoko signed a lot of us weren’t happy OP. A smaller minority mentioned the fact that ‘why don’t we just use Chalobah’ but it kind of got knocked down, including a articles making fun of Ray Winston for saying it on TalkSport. He didn’t articulate his point well but I get what he meant - if Chalobah was at Monaco the guy would be seen as ‘good’ as Bakayoko is.

I would say we as fans overrate our own more if anything. The big test with our loanes is try to imagine they were owned by their loan club and we made a bid, how would you feel?
Tammy is the prime example, if he was owned by Swansea, couldn't get a game despite Swanseas lack of goals and we signed him he would be a meme like Papy was and the new go to signing to prove the board lost the plot.
Even Ruben, as good as he did at Palace would we have been not only begging for the board to not only sign a converted CM playing LM who doesn't fit our new managers system but demanding he starts aswell if he was owned by Palace?

Bridge spot on.
Also Loftus cheeks time at palaceis quickly becoming
The most overrated season going. 2 goals in 30 appearances or something

I don’t necessarily agree Tammy should be starting but I genuinely think he’d be a good squad player for big clubs.

I think you're absolutely correct Flash.
I'm 99.9% happy with Maurizio, my only criticism would be the lack of use of CHO.
Probably not the fault of Sarri but we'd have been in no worse position trying Tammy out. It's a complete win win situation, if he's not good enough, we're in no worse position; if he proved to be better than what ee currently have then we're all happy - apart from Morata and Giroud of course!

CHO should at least have been on the match v Osaka Everton. Thats all I have to say on this matter.
