1. Man City
Best team in the league, they have been pretty much styling on everyone else, all without KDB.
2. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs
Pretty wide gap between City. I don't buy into this hype that Liverpool are vastly superior to these teams. They have looked pretty average this season and although only 2 points off the top, I think it's fair to say there has been a certain amount of luck in their results. Defence has been solid but Attacking play has been weakest of this group.
Chelsea and Spurs have the better balance but are pretty inconsistent. Whereas Arsenal have the best attack but the weakest defence. Plus our manager is the likeable version of Klopp.
I think any team in this group can beat the other as evidenced by recent results/ performances.
3. United
Not as big a gap as between Man City and group 2 but look distinctly lacking under Mourinho. With another manager I reckon they would get 2nd. While on paper Arsenal should beat them on Wednesday, United always has me uneasy.

City ahead of everyone.
Liverpool may be ahead of the others, time will tell. Slightly changed my opinion on how good they are. They definitely should be more points behind City and closer to the rest than they are.
Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea are difficult to separate so far.
United definitely below the pack with Mourinho having one of his usual difficult third seasons.
All can change during this season with, in my opinion, the exception of City being better than everyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no reason whatsoever why Liverpool should have less points, and be closer to Spurs etc.
That comment makes no sense.
Spurs have lost 4 games, Liverpool have lost none, so how you come to an assessment that Liverpool should be anywhere other than where they are, is just plain silly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the fact they were gifted 3 points right at the end of yesterday's match due to an absolute howler, plus City missing a penalty right at the end of the match between you two.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are joking ?
If you scrutinized every game to that level, you could probably take points away from most every club in the league, including Spurs and Arsenal.

A city player not being good enough to score from a few yards out, and a goalkeeper incapable of making a correct decision, is nothing to do with luck, it's just bad judgment, or a lack of composure at that moment.
As I said earlier, a team who concede only 5 goals in 14 games, and remain unbeaten, are bound to be there or there abouts, and those incapable of matching numbers like that, won't be, especially with a team as talented as Man City leading the way.
At least one team are keeping City honest, and this season it looks like Liverpool are the team to do just that.

Not joking. Those are particularly fortunate events to go in your favour. We haven't had gifts as good as that Pickford howler.

So you should be after spending what you spent.
But it's silly to dismiss the element of luck in getting that gift from Pickford right at the end. He was having a good game until that point. It's lucky to have him make such a bad judgement at that moment.

The Pickford error was lucky no question but I don't think you can say Mahrez missing a penalty is look, he's just not very good at them. Penalties are a skill.

Show me a team that doesn't have luck now and again. It's part and parcel of the game.

The missed penalty is less lucky than the Pickford howler but still you expect penalties to be converted most of the time. I guess you could say it's lucky someone not very good at them was chosen to take it.

And it was lucky for Everton our strikers made errors of judgment in front of goal, as we would have scored 4 goals before we actually did score.
It's an entirely silly argument, that could go on and on.
We have the best defensive record of any team in the country, over the last 44 games played in this league, spanning 30 from last season, and 14 from this season.
That's why we are where we are, and it certainly can't be explained by being lucky.

How can it be lucky for Everton when they got 0 points out of the game? There's no consolation for them that your strikers kept missing.
Anyway, misses like that happen all the time in games, and it's not like you've been scoring for fun. Howlers like Pickford's that gift a team 3 points are a lot rarer.
