They really should give us a guard of honour as well the three points.

Liverpool have looked pretty average while picking up 3 points. So either their luck will run out and they;ll slip back, or they'll find the performance to go with the results and seriously threaten, and perhaps overtake, City.
Either way they're a notch ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea, imo.

They have been very good defensively and I think this is what made the difference so far.
The Xmas period and possibly injuries to key player should bring some to whether or not they are still contender.

The goalkeeper has also made a difference. With Mignolet and Karius we would have dropped points and lost a few games.
Robbo and Gomez are good defenders. Our weak link is TAA.
We have played 4231 which is not a good system for the players we have. Last year we played 433 most of the time.

Well said it my Teutonic friend
Liverpool havent performed to the level they can, and most probably will eventually.
I agree a switch to 433 will aid our front 3, and well push City all the way this season.
A number of players are not still at the top of their form also, yet still only 2 off City, conceded only 5 goals all season, and 9 clean sheets from 14 games.
With a level of performance like that from your back line, your always going to be there or there abouts.
After City and Liverpool, there is then a gap to the rest, and it will an interesting fight between Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, and possibly United for the 2 remaining places in that top 4.
Think Chelsea and Man Utd are the most vounerable and most likely to miss out unfortunately.

We played 14 league games so far and we all are still expecting them to "click", despite not much changes in personal.
Could it be that last season form was mainly due to Salah wonder season? Same way as they had that wonderful season with Suarez?
Don't get me wrong, they are still miles better than the rest (apart from City), but maybe, just maybe this is their actual level (which would still be impressive).

Yeah we've actually only scored one less goal than at this stage last season. But also conceded 13 less.

Obviously there has been a more pragmatic approach from Klopp this season, which will obviously effect some aspects of our forward play, but there is no getting away from the fact certain players are not playing to their usual level.
Beyond the first 8 games last season, we had pretty much the best defensive record in the league in the remaining 30 games of last season, so for me there wasn't that much that needed changing anyway.
To put Liverpool up with City means you think they are guareenteed 2nd. While they may get it, I haven't seen anything special this season that suggests they deserve such a high praise.

We're not guaranteed it but we're probably more well equipped than other teams to get it. Best defence in the league and still scoring goals.
City ahead of everyone.
Liverpool may be ahead of the others, time will tell. Slightly changed my opinion on how good they are. They definitely should be more points behind City and closer to the rest than they are.
Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea are difficult to separate so far.
United definitely below the pack with Mourinho having one of his usual difficult third seasons.
All can change during this season with, in my opinion, the exception of City being better than everyone.

Liverpool are within a win of going top, but wouldn't drop a place if they lost, so there is a measurable gap up to now.
