They stop running for the manager.

That is what Shearer said about the players on match of the day after the Cardiff game. That they stopped running for Jose.

Did they? Or was that down to the tactics employed by Jose?

It was tactics. I think it was similar last season.

''Marauders" run in a forward direction in a bloodthirsty manner. Jose was all about this siege mentality and containment, where bombing forth is not necessarily the first thought. We had been a team of marauders under Sir Alex and Ole understands that first and foremost. I don't think there was a lack of effort under Jose, it was a lack of a positive mentality that just can't push player the right direction. We'll live by the sword and die by the sword, but it'll be back to exciting football here. Merry Christmas, my wish has been granted.

I would like to think you could give it a rest for one day.

TOOR is obviously lonely and no one give him any attention this time of year. Admin pulled him up for this anti social behavior on Christmas Eve once before.

I pity the lad really.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Another thing you've made up? Either that or I was wasted.

Just had a look at my history on Christmas Eve. I made one comment in 2017.

"The problem with Mourinho staying is that he will then get in more players who suit the boring style he likes. Then the next manager will have to lose some of the defensive players to bring more exciting ones in."

Turns out I was right.

None in 2016.

Three in 2015 all on Liverpool.

Three comments in 2014, none anything to do with United.

Three all on Liverpool in 2013.

Few in 2012, None on United.

I couldn't be bothered going back further, if this is further but one thing is for sure, you've made things up again.

I'm only saying what happened, which many of you won't admit, even though you aren't one of them as you've been saying it yourself for a while.

If you ever played this game at a level, it is so obvious that United players got their ex-manager the sack!

No amount of miracle work or tactics could help Ole to turn their fortunes around and make the players do actually what they are paid to do, with only couple of days training??

Players got Mourinho the sack! What a poison club!

Yet the stats don't back up the fact that they stop running.

And plenty here, on JA, have asked for 5 of this front 6 to be played together, to press, yet Jose didn't implement any of those.

It's Jose's tactics. He prefers opponents to have the ball

They downed tools, yet they ran as much as they did when they won under him.

And a lot of rival fans seem to have this impression that we were all behind Jose. There was a clear split, with Robb at one end and I think MUDD ( could be wrong here) at the other.

Never wanted him at the club but posters like Nobb defended him for everything

I don't know how you saw it but yes, indeed I did. Started off the day with my son opening his presents etc. Had some breakfast. Started the Christmas dinner. Couple of friends round, music player, beers and wine flowing. Panicked for the last ten minutes of sorting the dinner but got there in the end. Dinner was beautiful. Continued drinking then visited the parents. Had some more drinks and then back home and a nice sleep.

Tiring day but nice. How about you?
