I just wrote on a different article about Van Dijk that he might well be the single biggest impact any transfer has had on a team in the PL era.
This got me to thinking who else could have this claim as I'm sure there are people I haven't thought about.
So, who do you think has been the most significant transfer in terms of their individual impact on a team? Limited to the PL era.
Biggest ever impact

Here is a question.
Even if Liverpool win the league, what's VVD done that Terry, Vidic, Kompany etc didn't do?

Check the stats. It’s abundantly clear.

Stats say Carvalho made a bigger impact. Won the league and on track to make a better defensive record in comparison to the season prior.
Stats, that's settled

Wrong. I've seen the visual on Sky Sports News. Liverpool have reduced their goals conceded by 58% over equivalent period. There has been no better turnaround to date in PL.

Also, VVD didn't play the full campaign of 17/18 for Liverpool FC.

Andy Booty or Grigorz Rasiak for me
A horrendous impact but still an impact nonetheless
