Lighten up people

Paul Pogba dancing after scoring a goal is not the reason for all of the world's problems
I bet most of the idiots who are angry with a little dancing from Pogba didn't have a problem with Peter Crouch doing that robot dance --- or whatever the feck that was -- a few years ago.
If anything people thought it was funny and cute.
I guess it comes down to who do we feel more comfortable with , doesn't it?
I was in America about 3 years ago when there was a ridiculous outrage against a black NFL quaterback for his dancing after he'd score a touchdown. A woman even famously wrote an angry letter to the NFL office claiming that the quaterback's dancing was somehow affecting the children
But I remember when white players danced after scoring a touchdown , many of the same pundits who called Cam Newton "unprofessional" suddenly thought it was the cutest little thing ever. They were just having fun apparently.
I don't have a problem with footballers expressing their joy after scoring a goal except obviously for offensive gestures or signs.
But one thing for sure there's definitely a double standard when it comes to this issue imo.

Thoughts?

I guess a lot of the haters weren't around for the Sharpie Shuffle!

Why people care is beyond me. Players have been looking daft for decades... Robbie Keane's machine gun was the worst

Firminho's roly poly on Saturday was funny too.

To be fair, I always thought Sharpe’s were done in a spirit of irony. Not sure Pogba’s are. Nothing against him celebrating the way he does, but I do find it mildly irritating - and that’s nothing to do with age or race. It’s partly something about the surreal nature of it. That celebration yesterday was like something a computer game character would do, and we’d laugh and say, “Yeah, but nobody does that.” Now they do.

Bunch of old men

Yesterday’s dance was actually a South African dance move. Pogba is in touch will a lot of African culture and influences. Let him do what he wants

I have no problem with players doing silly dance routines etc. so long as they are doing the business on the pitch.

At the end of the day footballers are there to entertain us. I think it's 'kinda stupid" but I'm not going to Pogba for financial or spiritual advice, he's there to entertain me. It's like a well-paid court jester. Same with musicians, they aren't the brightest bunch, but they amuse us and entertain us. You needn't expect anything cerebral from Paul but I enjoy any Manchester United goal.

One or two games aside, he's been very disappointing on the pitch until recently, but I always liked his exuberance, same as Lingard. Nice to see them both doing well, long may it continue.

The dance doesn't irritate me. It's not like he was doing it in front of the opposition or their fans.

Seem to remember SAF hated it and said it was being flash and told Sharpe to cut it out, but he carried on.

After all the debates around the Pogba celebrations, Vardy does some sort of gymnastics that, if it goes wrong, could put him out for the season (it's happened before)... Yet the media are lapping it up.
