I didnt realise Carey was fit, he def needs to start if thats the case.
How anyone doesnt rate Cisse is a mystery to me!

What I don't understand is Cisse gets called up for international duty but struggles to play for a BCFC 2nd 11 and our manager..

The Cisse situation is a mystery. No idea why he doesn't feature. He's not injured as far as I am aware.
Hello RP - ok I admit I was pulling your pl0nker on Lee, but speaking as someone who genuinely liked the LJ/Marv partnership I am surprised that we got a similar player in when LJ is so clearly not part of Milly's plan - then I suppose the man has made a few questionable decisions... !!
Carey was on his last legs 2 seasons ago and should have been replaced. We need a leader who can actually participate in a game. Love the guy (his parents were neighbours of mine and I enjoyed a couple of drinks with his dad when he was alive), but his injuries have handicapped not just himself, but the whole team.

'but his injuries have handicapped not just himself, but the whole team'
Sorry R&W, Carey might not be the player he once was but is still our best defender and more importantly we miss his organisation ability.
Should Millen select Carey you will see an improvement, the same goes for Cisse but I fear now whichever 11 start a draw is the best we can hope for against Hull. And even if we somehow win these next 2 home games we are only delaying the inevitable.
I'm afraid we won't see any real improvement until our man in Guernsey rids Ashton Gate of Millen.
The entire atmosphere at City is wrong and only a change of management and a fresh approach will save our Championship status.

Have to say, I'm with you Redprint.
Carey is still our best defender even though Millens had a year to sort out the defence.......Oh I know...lets buy another striker or a like for like midfielder.
Never plays Cisse and leaves a striker up front on his own even though that doesn't suit his ablilty.
I hate to say it but maybe one good thrashing just might be enough to get shot of Millen.
Otherwise it's just a prolonged agony we have to put up with.

Chill out rp, if you read the post before yours I agreed with you about the cisse situ, the comment about yesterdays game against exeter was pure sarcasm. How much time and effort did it take you to find the second quote tho?

'Skipper Louis Carey set for recall as Bristol City boss Keith Millen looks to strengthen his defence'
Looks like Millen is reading my comments
Hope he takes my advice on Cisse
Seriously, this is the trouble with Millen.
He just doesn't see it early enough.
He has to be kicked in the b*lls to know it hurts.
It's just the same during a game, he doesn't react/change. If we're overloaded in midfield - nothing happens and only becomes apparent to the fool when he's seen the flaming DVD.
He's useless.

what about bobby reid try pitman up font with maynard if we dont score maybe maynard needs some bench time try something new and yannick needs more play time

Carey is still our natural leader, but he will only stay fit for 2 games, 3 max.
We need a leader AND a defender - and we have done for some time (3 years).
League 1 beckons ....
