We were much the better team and only undone by a marginal decision for their goal.
I thought Kante was exceptional and it was good to see Hudson Odoi getting 80 minutes.
Once again our achilles heel stuck out like a sore thumb again - no natural goalscorer. If we don’t get another striker in this window I don’t see how it’s even an debate not to bring Abraham back.
Still only half way there and if we can put in another performance like that in it’s all to play for.

Unlucky tonight!

Right so you've confirmed that you think that whoever wins a game of football deserved to win that game of football, thanks

You don't have an argument!

Right, let's keep this simple, a yes or no answer will suffice
Is it the case that every time a team wins a football match, they deserved to win said football match?

You’re struggling a bit here, Analog.

I don't think so, maybe you could answer the question for him?

You are. You’ve tried to attribute points made by others to him to try and make him look contradictory and hypocritical. Now you’re trying to drag it down a semantic route to save face, after having been proven wrong.
And no a team doesn’t deserve to win a football match every time they win a football match.
Just as the team that is better doesn’t always deserve to win. Football isn’t binary, there are three outcomes for a team.

Ok so in what circumstance would a team who has lost a match have deserved to win it, if it wasn't because they were the better team?

Jeez, I never thought this would become such an issue.
Right lets give this one last shot, if it still doesn't compute then I'm afraid you'll just have to live with it.
I said we were the better team because on the night we were, I haven't seen many $purs fans try disputing that. It wasn't hard because $purs were pretty poor on the night compared to their recent form.
I said we were unlucky to lose because the deciding goal was a highly controversial one.
Why do I think we didn't deserve to win? Because in 90 minutes of football despite having the lions share of possession we created just one worthwhile chance, which Christensen contrived to put wide, that apart we never threatened the $purs goal.
Defending is a part of the game and $purs defended like trojans in preventing us from scoring, so I'm sure you'd have felt aggrieved not to have won after taking the lead after being so dominant in your own area.
If you combine the fact that we were so toothless in the final 3rd whilst you defended with such authority, then I think I'm qualified in saying we didn't really deserve to win it.
Had we cut your defence to shreds on numerous occasions but your keeper had played a blinder and produced a string of world class saves to deny us then I would probably say we were unlucky and deserved to win it.
If you don't get it I think you must be, being deliberately obtuse and arguing for the sake of it or not as clever as I give you credit for.
Either way I'm not going to waste my time explaining myself again.
