cant see a place for him now, even as a sub yesterday he seemed to cause more problems for us than the opposition, his goal scoring record is not the worst but its clear now that rash is 1st choice and will take some moving. The sad thing was even when he came on he didn't look like a player fighting for his place more like someone who knows he's lost his place and there's no getting it back. Cant see any of the top European teams in for him, erm do everton want him back? maybe one of those loaded Chinese teams could make a bid please?

My only concern is will Lukaku be able to accept coming of the bench like rashford had to? I suspect he wouldn't.
The question is what will his reaction be? Will he "work hard" to prove the manager wrong when he gets the opportunity to do so. Or will he strot around with a sense of entitlement.
I watched an interview where lukaku was hailing Jose as being this straight talking manager that he admires so much. I tried to find the interview but came across this instead

He didn't even accept being back up to a prime Diego Costa when he was 20.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to force a move through last minute this month unfortunately.

If he doesn't respond positively to his new situation, then it will be appropriate to sell him. But let's wait until he throws his toys from the pram before we condemn him for that. From what I've seen of his mentality, my completely speculative prediction would be that he buckles down for the rest of the season and does his best to adapt to OGS's requirements, and if he's still looking like second-choice, starts to explore the opportunity to leave in the summer. That seems like an acceptable state of affairs for both parties.

Lukaku was quite complementary last week about how ole had analysed his game and given him advice to get him scoring again. He may yet buy into what ole's trying to do

He needs to be sold, such a lazy player. Moves like a lorry, accelerates like a lorry too, by the time he hits top speed, he's already been overtaken by half of the opposing team even if he's 10 meters ahead of them. Can't control the ball, can't pass, never wins a header, always jumps too early or too late, can't even shield the ball, gets bullied by players half his size and weight...don't even know how that's possible, did I mention he's lazy. Absolute donkey, never rated him.

In short, my instinct when the ja606 mob has its pitchforks out for a certain player (even when things are going pretty well) is caution.
**************************************
Sometimes the mob is right.
He is going to need a lot more work to become what we need and He cost 90 million. Those two things make his future for a "new" United tentative.
