Its been at least 3 days since I've last posted, and keeping up,with Derby from over here has been difficult as I spent much of 2018 staving off homelessness, dealing with gov't issue phones, and surrendering to the odiousness of the 40 hour work week. But paying the rent beats sleeping under the Redondo Beach pier anytime. Enough about me, what bout den Rams?
I've been a poor supporter (pun intended) but I've a lovely hand me down phone now, so expect incoherent RAMblings from the West Coast on a more consistent basis.
Saw the Leeds debacle at my local, owned and operated (and apparently patronized) by some Yorkshiremen. (Yorkshire Square, Torrance, Ca)
I was excited to see my club after months of scraping for tidbits of news from the shire. All I can say about that match is that I pray that was our worst performance of the season as, it was, for lack of more colorful language, a shyteshow.
I'm glad we're still in the Cup and I'm holding out hope for a playoff spot,
which by definition puts us under a jinx and in all likelihood has dashed any chance for a late season surprise. Thats my bad...sorry.
If anyone remembers a certain quixotic ja606 contributor who supports the Rams from his occidental perch stateside...well, take a moment to say hi, as I'm sure there are some owd ducks round here.
Getting late here, getting early there..so ill sign off for the, time being. But not before the poll of the week: More or Less, which is better?

But, you can comfort yourself with the thought that - last night Derby performed with skill, energy and character to defeat Soton despite the efforts of VAR. Upwards and onwards to beat Accrington - get a reasonable draw in the 5th round and go on from there.

Ramdidn,I criticise players when they play badly and praise when they play well. Last night Waghorn was rubbish in the first half, misplacing passes and even making the school boy error of not running back up field from a short corner and thus being offside for the return pass. He improved in the second half and his powerful header was unstoppable. Maybe Nugent along side helped him.
On Keogh may I quote Frank from his interview last night.
"I'm delighted for Richard Keogh. Everyone at this club knows how important he is, the club means so much to him. He asked to take one. I know he's got quality, he is a man of strength, the sort of man you want to take that."
How many central defenders volunteer for penalty shoot out?

As usual, except when criticising Keogh, Spart is spot on correct. But we might defeat Brexit yet with a people's vote.

Wasn't the 2016 vote a people's vote Ramdini?
If there was another vote, which usually happens when the EU don't get their way, what would happen if Leave won again? Would you go for the best out of five?

I wouldn't go for another vote VC. I wouldn't have had the first vote as I don't believe in leaving macro economic policy decisions to people who can barely count.
If people want to make themselves poorer because they don't like foreigners that is up to them but why should they include me.

I assume you think it is only Leave voters who can't count?
I think us old folk can do sums better than the young ones of today! I think Remain supporters who think that only thickos voted Leave are wrong.
But we must not get into politics, must we?

Strett can do maths. I still teach it on a private basis.
Name an intelligent person who voted Leave.

In a democracy, two numpties can outvote one genius.

Democracy is hugely flawed but it's the best that can be done. Unless it's a complete landslide, the country is being run by a party that a huge number of people didn't vote for and don't want in power.

He'd probably turn round and tell the country to stop bemoaning every tiny decision and focus on the good things that could happen, and negotiate properly from a position of strength (shouting from the top of your lungs 'we're doooooooooomed' does not give you a great position).
Whether you voted remain or leave the one thing we should be doing now is trying to find a decent middle ground and find some strengths to play with (and if we don't have any then it shows what a shambles we were in BEFORE the vote).
Hope everythings alright for you now B and W, funny old game football but if we can keep Franky here then thing we have the makings of a great future.
Does any of the more knowledgable posters (those that voted remain obviously know what the chances of us keeping any of our loanee's are?
