On Sunday Wolves head south to Bristol to take on Bristol City in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

City, currently sitting in 6th place in the Championship table, come into this game on the back of a home win against QPR on Tuesday.
They arrive in the fifth round of the cup after defeating Huddersfield and Bolton Wanderers.

Wolves, currently flying high in the Premier League as ‘best of the rest’ have already dispensed with Liverpool and Shrewsbury Town to get through to the fifth round.
Wolves last won the FA Cup in 1960 and with only 2 higher placed teams going through to the quarter finals, Wolves fans are starting to sense that there could be a trip to Wembley in their near future.

Wolves and City last met in the Championship last season. A 3-3 draw at Molineux was followed by a 2-1 win for Wolves with Ryan Bennett heading a last gasp winner. Wolves played the majority of the game with 10 men after Danny Batth was shown a red card after 14 minutes resulting in striker Leo Bonatini being withdrawn to allow substitute, Ryan Bennett to replace Batth. Danny Batth is one of seven players in that match day squad who no longer feature in the current squad.

On paper this should be a comfortable win for Wolves but as someone wisely said, this game is played on grass not paper and, being the FA cup, anything can happen.
Lee Johnson will almost certainly field his strongest side, will Nuno? We will have to wait and see but with 6 days before the next league game there is ample recovery time to allow him to field his first choice 11.
Diogo Jota may not be available as he is carrying a minor ankle injury.

The game will be shown live on BT Sports 2

All the cup games have been very tight so far but the higher league side have won out narrowly. Even Newport are holding City at HT.

I'd like to think we could buck that trend and win comfortably tomorrow but suspect it's going to be close. Might even go to extra time.

Goes to penalties on the day as well doesn't it?

Think we might need them.

Yes, no 5th round replays this season. Hope it doesn't go to pens after witnessing the Leicester league cup efforts.

Dean Saunders on BT 're Newport v Man city "it wasn't 4-1", as we said many times during his brief tenure "Yes it fooking was Dean"

Ex wolves in Sheffield. Just noticed Iorfa got a very late equaliser for Wednesday today. And Stearman got United's winner against Boro in the week.
