EA Sports have removed Ronaldo from the cover and loading screen in FIFA 19. You can still play him though. No reason given, but probably because of the rape allegations and the tax fraud.
And EA have removed Sala from the game, which I find weird. Why not keep him in the game to honor him? Thoughts?

Dont think it's the tax fraud one. Probably the rape one. Though it could be just they wanted to put in a change.

It's an allegation ffs.
Guilty until proven innocent in the modern day.

Where there is smoke there is fire, and I can see how they dont want to take any risks for their brand

But it's literally the complete antithesis of the justice system in the civilised world. I can't stand it.

Enterprises are not the justice system though. They have other things to worry about. Ronaldo is still innocent for the law, but a company has a reputation to protect.

This. I frustrates me a little when people conflate a private company taking a business decision to protect their brand and justice. EA are not sending Ronaldo to jail.
A bit like when people have a hissy fit about vegan sausage roles. Don't like the idea of vegan sausage roles, don't buy them it's that simple.

“EA are not sending Ronaldo to jail.”
Now that’s a game I’d buy.

I don't own an Xbox or playstation let alone play video games such as FIFA, however I think it's ridiculous if they removed him due to the allegations. Clearly no such thing as innocent until proven guilty anymore if they have.

As explained above, companies are not the law, they have other business to worry about. If the people turn on Ronaldo, guilty or not, their business gets hurt.
Tiger Woods didnt do a whole lot wrong other than being a seeex addict yet Gillette cut ties with him.
Its about perception, not if you are guilty or not, for these companies.

Ea should be imprisoned anyway for the amount of conning they've done over the years.
Absolute bunch of cants the lot of them
