Bournemouth are a fine example. 4 years in the premier league now and they've made no attempt to increase there stadium capacit

Factually incorrect.
Why guess or make things up
They have been trying for years

“Investing “ in players is speculative, pure tamble.
Sensible infrastructure spending is a long term investment in the future.

The solution is simple for the club.
If demand is outstripping supply, increase prices. It's not a case of ripping off fans, its a case of market forces.
IF the club hadn't committed to pre-selling season tickets due to cash flow issues and we knew we were in Prem next season then the club would be sensible to say increase prices 10% to help fund Prem survival and plans.
If that seriously affected sales which I doubt, then prices could always be adjusted for next season.
If club committed those funds to stadium, the problem is, if things change ie relegation, you can't suddenly release those funds ie sell off part of teh part;y built stadium, you either have to see it through or abandon it.
If funds were spent on players to try and survive in Prem then if relegated, worse case scenario players could be sold.
After 20 years of financial issues (and we are not stable yet), we have to be on much sounder financial footing to be able to realistically invest in the huge coast of a new stadium project, much as attendances these last couple of months might suggest it's the highest of priorities.

Neither is counting on the resale value of a relegation squad.
No idea where the thinking behind that post has come from.

No one proposed ripping off fans.

“huge coast of a new stadium project”
Who suggest that?
How much would it cost to expend the south stand to a similar capacity to that of the north stand?
posted on 7/4/19
North stand capacity is 7k, south stand is 5k.
Upping south stand to 7k is like sticking plaster for a broken arm, but a hugely expensive sticking plaster.

Thank you Sol.
Jonty, regarding Elland Road stadium capacity, you are correct about the numbers. Instead I would expand 5he south stand to match the east stand which could take capacity to 8,000 or 9,000 perhaps? Then do the same to the north stand, which might add another 1,000 or 2,000, thereby adding up to 6,000?
Obviously architects and the like would have a better handle on what can be done.
