Have you got the Ashi a skill tree from the Tengu guy? If not I can break that down and we'll have you acting like a ninja in no time! 😉

Yes kill the rats and then go back and speak to him.
You can then kill the rats over and over to get some of the descending and ascending carp skills in that tree, then get the flowing water one. Should only take about 45 secs to 1 min and then jump the wall and rest at the idol, rinse repeat.

Get those skills as 4/6 of the next bosses use swords and normal minions will be 1 deflect kills, makes almost the rest of this section so much easier.

Also get he prayer beads above the guy that asks you to kill the rats, its in the attic. That way by the time you get to lady butterfly you should have 2 prayer beads, extra vit and posture for you is a good thing

I'm at Genichiro Ashina (the dude that cut off your arm at the beginning) at the moment and he has killed me like 15 times, its supposed to be the first proper skill check in the game and he is doing my head in at the moment.

Basically I didn't parry his charges, I hit him 1 time as he did his turns, when he sticks one end of the flaming tree in the ground. Sprint after him and hit him in the ass. Basically when he does his three hits shaking his head, stay at his ass and hit him.

Use the firecrackers to get him scared and get 3-4 hits in. He will have a rest about half way as well, get 3 hits in then. If you can get him running around in the top right of the arena as you walk in, its a smaller space so less running around to do but just stay on his ass and hit him as he turns. I jumped his big charges, as he dips his head jump towards him and you should clear him, then sprint after him and try to hit as he turns.

thanks I’ll try that tactic of the partying doesn’t work! Desperately need to get some more health and attack power in on 11/2 at the moment and it’s awful. Think I’m going to do the rats to get that text scroll to get better powers!

The skills really help, not on the bull but after that haha.

You can also buy the red gourd from the merchant in a barrel in Hirata - it prevents burning building up as quickly and only costs 2 treasure carp scales. helps with the bull as well.

Nice one, I really want the health skill that recovers health after kills. At the moment I have whirlwind slash and mihkri, I need more!

Bull down, without patch then cheesed the drunk sumo dude, stealth kill plus luring him into the middle and getting the box to fight him-very easy that way. Tried lady butterfly, not too bad to start with, but then the phantoms started up, need some snap seeds.

Not liking the weird rooftop ninjas in the castle, those guys are quick.

Bull down, without patchthen cheesed the drunk sumo dude, stealth kill plus luring him into the middle and getting the box to fight him-very easy that way. Tried lady butterfly, not too bad to start with, but then the phantoms started up, need some snap seeds.

Not liking the weird rooftop ninjas in the castle, those guys are quick.

The trick to Lady butterfly is to run in circles around the room whilst the illusions are out, then stand behind a pillar whilst they turn into the butterfly things and come at you. The pillar should block most of it. I didn't use snap seeds as you are in danger of needing to farm them with no where to really get them!

There is also a prayer bead before that though after Drunkard in a hidden room, if you get that you should also have more vit and posture as you should have 4 of them. Look for a wall with a tapestry on it where the 2 guys are and hug the wall If you don't already have it that will help.

Cheers dude! I may have missed that prayer Brad. Spent a bit of time grinding to get better skills, got the deathblow one that restores health-useful and have read in places that the incimurja double when used after deflecting bosses makes fights pretty easy.

Butterfly I had one go at, and found dodge left hit, dodge right, hit, makes it fairly easy, then shuriken when she jumps.

There’s a dude on YouTube who has done great tactics to take down most bosses in under 1 minute ish time, proper cheese tactics, worth a look if your stuck. Like for the. Entipefed, just mash block until his posture meter goes ape, and deathblow him. And for genchuro later, just hate him into one attack from distance, whirlwind slash, repeat til dead.
