Anybody know if El Ghazi's red card has been overturned yet or what is happening with the situation? Heard nothing of it but that's something that must be rescinded surely?
Imo, I would not oppose to a rule that is similar to the retrospective action that players who dive receive because the principle of this incident is similar to that of a player who dives. Cheating the rules of the game to gain an advantage on the opposition which should see the player who gained the advantage receive a retrospective ban himself.

It's alright saying Roberts fooled your players, but they were telling him to kick it out and it's not up to them, at all.
Funny that when you kicked the ball out, it was only after you were going nowhere, it took 5 passes until you decided there was nothing on and kicked it into touch.
Also, against Stoke, you carried on playing when they had a player down and it resulted in you scoring. So massive, massive hypocrisy from your players who all have massive chips on their shoulders.
Grealish is also a cheating diving little kant, waving an his hands asking for red cards every other minute. Kant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're right in that it was OK for Roberts to ignore our players and carry on as normal. But he didn't. He stopped as if to play the ball out, waited for our players to stop, then flicked it down the line. Cheat!!!
Ahem... we at Villa don't do chips on shoulders, neither players or fans. You should try it.
Grealish gets battered every game. Dead right he waves his hands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For such a supposedly good side you time wasted, dived & whinged to the ref more than any other side I can recall at ER.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your lot crowded the ref the first time he blew the whistle for a foul. Luckily he wasn't easily intimidated.

Odd that one, he blew the whistle the first time meaning the ball was out off play!..
He didn't when the goal was scored, so, it boils down to the point off him not having a clue or the Leeds players playing to the whistle, fact is, nobody should have stopped playing because play was in play and the whistle wasn't blown!..
That goal was a goal and there was no head injury or broken backs to stop play for!..
As long as that player played the dying horse, he should have been shot but funnily enough he was fit enough to continue so it could be asked was he really injured, or was that another cheating game?..

Bamford deserves the 2 game ban but for hourihane to get away with a violent conduct charge for that jab is ridiculous....and people wonder why...."Leeds fans think theres a vendetta".....thats a Watkins dive,a canoe headbutt and now a hourihane punch that has been blind eyed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This whole vendetta thing is absolute bollox though. If there WAS a vendetta against Leeds the refs and linesmen would have to be in on it 100% or it wouldn't work...so answer this....if this vendetta (I even cringe typing it) exists, how come:
1) Wigan had a man sent off for chesting the ball on the goal line?
2) Kemar Roofe was able to score a winner with his hand earlier in the season?
3) Despite there being no clear evidence, am the linesman last week was able to tell the ref that Bamford had been struck by El Ghazi?
That's just 3 off the top of my head. Are Wigan being conspired against? Forest too? Villa? Or is it, as I suspect, that referees are just incompetent on the whole, their employers not much better, and that pretty much every team gets sh-t on in equal measure?
Vendetta Grow up.

Chompers, have you ever tried to ref?
Many coaches have opined it is by far the toughest job on the pitch. With the players often simulating and trying to con the refs, the size of the pitch and speed of the players and the game, it is a major challenge and a need for intense fitness of the limbs, the eyes, ears and brain.
I agree that the opinion of bias as a whole is ridiculous, but in some games, it does feel one’s team is not getting a fair shake. Supporters of all teams feel that in games throughout a season. I tend to think they even out over time, though.

I've done a bit at a very low level, Jonny, and even that is tough, and that's generally been without the gamesmanship and dissent that you get in the pro game. I don't envy them, nor would I want to do that job full time!
Incompetent might have been a bit harsh, though it was more to try and drive home the point that it's their errors which make supporters start to question their integrity and ability to do the job, a job that is very well paid these days it has to be said. The fairer way to have worded it would probably have been 'inconsistent', as I feel that it's the inconsistencies that drive us crazy as fans. Before being relegated we had maybe 6 or 7 decent shouts for penalties, rose tinted specs aside I would say 3 were nailed on. We got 0. Then the first game after relegation is confirmed we got one that was never a penalty in a million years! It's enough to drive you up the wall but it shows that human error will be made that affect you both positively and negatively as the season plays out.
I certainly wasn't having a pop at Leeds, as for those examples I listed earlier, I can easily enough name three that went against you unfairly in my opinion. I love a good conspiracy theory but like the McCanns, 9/11 and the moon landings, I just don't think there's anything there at all with regards to a vendetta against any club

Good to have a reasoned conversation, whether we agree or not!
