Liverpool actually played really well, great possession, shots etc stats against Barca away, but are 3-0 down after missing some clear cut chances.
We however were awful, shocking first 30 mins or so, and in 2nd half kept the ball more but final delivery or finishing was well off, there was a severe lack of midfield creativity, and we lost 1-0 at home. Ajax are a great team at home.
So both poor results, but with different performances.
Which of the teams has the better chance of progression? For both it will be very tough. No WUMs, sensible posts only please. This is about interest in English clubs progressing in CL, not us versus them etc
Who is in better position in CL. Us or Pool

What a pathetically desperate article
Whoever goes through from our game will dispose of spurs or Ajax with ease
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it desperate ? Just because we got a better chance of reaching the final than you have? The last game at the Nou camp ended 1-1 for us and we didn’t get smacked 3-0. In a final anything can happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
check the Op title, it’s obvious whose in a better position hence the desperation
Re the 1-1 Barca had already qualified and topped the group so don’t kid yourself
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who gives a f**. 1-1 at the Nou camp compared to your 3-0 battering. The history books won’t say “Barcelona qualified already” ... those are the facts. To say Barcelona would smash anyone in the final is just going by your battering. Not every team gets smacked by Barcelona like you did.

Barcelona 1-1 Tottenham
Barcelona 3-0 Liverpool
Tottenham > Liverpool.

spurs obviously have a better chance because they just lost 1-0 and are not playing barca. no disrespect to Ajax. hoping spurs make the 2nd leg interesting after getting away with only being 1 down.

Spurs.
Liverpool are as good as out. They need to score 5 to stand a chance.

Moussa Sissoko thinks Spurs will win in Amsterdam....
“I believe we will go to Amsterdam and come back with qualification because I know the quality of this team.
“We might not ever come this close to a Champions League final again, so that motivates and inspires us. We’ve been written off before and proved people wrong and we can do so again.
“We have proven it a lot of times this season. We’ve had plenty of injuries, but we still won some games and we still played some good games. That means we have a strong team and a lot of character.
“I believe we will go there and we will score goals, look what happened against Man City. At 1-0, a lot of things can happen. If we don’t believe we can win over there, we may as well stay in London.”
Ahmen, Moussa ....Go get 'em, but do NOT get red carded!!
