Bielsa Press Conference: Pre-Ipswich

[Roofe fit, Roberts and Dallas doubts for Ipswich]

Marcelo and Salim are here....

Team news

"Bamford won't be in, we have a doubt with Tyler Roberts, the same thing with Stuart Dallas. And we might have a positive outcome with Dallas. With the problem of Roberts it is a little bit more complex

Will they miss play-offs?

No because they are not serious injuries

On Bamford's ban - an epic from Bielsa

"I tried not to judge those who are here to judge us. It's a fact that Pat Bamford simulated so there is no point talking about it. Anyway we have conclusions that are important to underline because these kind of these behavior and conditions can happen in the future.

In sone way, in my work I sometimes have the obligation to make justice I mean I have to manage the interest ofd the players who fight for a place for a team, sometimes I give them a reward and sometimes I punish them and when I have to take a decison that is punishment to someoine I have in mind a princiapl that you always have to remembver when you make justice and the princiapal is that all the acts that have the same nature have to judged with the same sevirity and this is a conclusion that offers this decision so after the decision is taken against Patick Bamford all the same acts have to judged with teh same sevrity otherwise the opposite of the prinicipal is to punish but to make differences and it's a very important risk for those who take justice. I am talking about myself. Beacause I have judge people and don't apply the same criteria it's not the right thing to do.

When you make a mistake you always have to assimulate the conclusion to change your behaviour in the future. A punch becomes an aggression according to the capacity of resistance from the one who receives the punch, if the one who receives the punch is strong it's not an agression and if the person who recives the punch is not strong it's an agression.

We can understand that we can't fake a punch when we have received it but you can't judge the strength of the player who has received this punch. So the obvious conclusion is that if you punch someone and this is person is strong enough it is not an agression and if you punch spomeone who is not strong it is an agression. Another conclusion you can draw about this case, when the authortities on the pitch for the referees, when the referees can't judge waht happened on the pitch in the game and take into account the possibility that the referee makes a mistake, the same way, when a referee asks for help to be sure and make the right decision, and when we receive a sanction we also allow to ask for help to solve possible mistakes of the referee becaue the referee can go to a commission and tell that he needs the help because he had to manage many things in the game and we all know it's not true. He knows that he made a mistake which is why he asks for this help from th commission to justify the mistake he made because if he hadn't made that mistake he would have found out that someone cheated and if he found out he wouln't have given a red card to El Ghazi,

As the referee made a mistake he doesn't say I made a mistake he says I had to take into account many things and maybe I made a mistake. But things were not like that, immediately after the end of the game the referee knew he had made a mistake so he asked for the intervention of the commission saying that he had to manage many things through this game and maybe made a mistake and this is not true.

Of course these are my conclusions, I am not discussing the decisions that have been taken but we all have the obligation to describe the prodecure of those that judge us. The conclusions are very clear, the ones I just gave, and the system works like this and I am not discussing it because I have to submit myself to the judgement of the authorities but not to criticse them but when they make decisons they send decisons that we have to assimulate so all these interpretaions that you can find out ny the decisions taken because they don't tell to the public what the process was to reach this conclusion but as those who have to resepct the rules we have the obligation to interprate them in order to not mak ethe same mistake game. I am not discussing anything, I am just saying how we should behave from now on in order to avoid it happening again,.

I'd bring in Shackleton in outeide and Pablo at 10. Berardi at LB.

Clarke for Harrison, Roofe for Bamford, Berardi for Dallas

So am I right in thinking that Bielsa reckons that Hourihane was not punished by the EFL because he punches like a girl

Don't think we've heard the last of it. What if Harrioune plays a key part in eliminating WBA from the playoffs when he shouldn't be involved for violent conduct.

My reading is the degree of aggression really depends on how the players act in a volatile moment. The implication is that Bamford was not strong enough to stand up to any aggression, and got punished for it; if he had stood his ground, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Interesting comments about the ref admitting he had made a mistake, though.

Clarke shouldn't be starting. Looked dreadful off the bench against Wigan and Brentford. Probably the worst individual performances I've seen from a Leeds player this season.

Lube, that’s exactly why he needs to start.

We need to give him as much chance to find the form he had earlier in the season.

Much more to gain from giving him 90 minutes than there is Harrison at this point

Except we do need to get something from this game, or suddenly we could be playing Villa over two legs instead of whichever team stutters into sixth.
