Not a current transfer rumour (although I’m sure journos read this site for info) but imo possibly a perfect signing for us. We need some leaders in the side and this guy has done it all and could be persuaded to leave Barca at a time when they are bringing lots of players in and need to sell some as well.
I understand the desire to fill the side with young up and coming players but every side needs a mix of ages and experience and we would be blessed to have a talent like him in the midfield to compliment maybe a younger signing in there and someone like McT or Fred.
Rakitic imo would be a relatively cheap signing and Barca would probably sell and he would instantly improve our midfield.
Anyone else be up for this signing? Would be the sensible signing we probably need right now.

He was quality a while back, to be fair. But even when he was at his best he’s not really one that you’d describe as a fantasy player. It’s strange how his level has dropped.

Thomas Muller was absolute quality a few years back. Dunno what’s happened to him but he’s not the same player now.
Weren’t united linked with him in LVG first season? Was like an 80mil price tag or something wasn’t it?
