hi,derby fan in peace........
well it s looking like f,lampard s leaving to return to his beloved chelsea.im for one quite suprised with the deceision from 1.your owner and 2 frank.
do you fans think your owner is appeasing the fans by appointing frank? or do you think f l is a stopgap until he can appoint someone else with a better track record.
i truley hope f,lampard does well where ever he goes, but i suspect the chelsea job is a step to far at this moment in time,id hate to see him fail and then get the sack..
for me,having a legend back has a manager dosent work out to well and the stats prove it.we at derby have had numerous ex players back to manage and bar 1 its all ended badly,
frank has done wonders at our club but the championship is a different kettle of fish to the prem..i think its a step to far and the final question im asking is....
would you lot be happy finishing mid table ish with frank lamps ,no trophies or employing another foreigner and going for the league etc ??
anyhow, all the best this season, with or without frank..
your frank ????

Painful as that was to read (sorry) I agree with alot of it. I do suspect it's a reactionary move to appease fans afger the divide Sarri caused, and it's working tbf, and I do fear it's too soon for him.
I hope I'm wrong on both couns.

While it may appear that way from the outside, I don’t believe we’re appointing Lampard on purely sentimental reasons. The transfer ban and our academy players refusal to commit long-term to the club has forced our hand to reflect on how we operate. While our transfer strategy has changed over the years, due to FFP and Roman’s desire to make us self-sufficient, our managerial appointments haven’t changed with it. This has led to a running theme of disagreements between board and managers over transfers. Appointing Lampard + Morris represents taking a new direction for the club, and attitude towards integrating youth. It is a risk, but the transfer ban has created a situation where we have nothing to lose, but a whole lot to gain.

A decent appraisal. Sums the situation up in a nutshell for me!

Now this is funny!
I think it may be a bridge too far for Frank ( No pun intended.) You are not going to attract the best managers though under the current climate.
I Love Frank ( not in the biblical sense!) Just that he is a class act and I wish him the best! Hope it works out well for you guys and by the way, you did win us the league!
