Time to stay strong

Well it appears there’s not a lot to talk about other than Harry Maguire, so let’s talk about Harry Maguire.

The rumour mill has gone in to overdrive now after his illness yesterday and suggestions he just wants the deal done are surfacing. This flys in the face of all actual evidence from Rodgers interviews who has said he’s been nothing but professional.

I think now is the time for Leicester to make a statement. No more messing around but a private and clear message to Man Utd and to the player. Harry is not for sale unless our valuation of £80m is met and by the weekend. After that, he’s our player for the season. January is out.

I’m sick and tired of Man Utd messing around. If they really want this deal done, why is it not done? But mainly I’m just bored of reading stupid rumours about Maguire every day. And now i’m falling in to the same stupid trap of talking about it!

One thing I will say is it sends a very bad message out if we cave and sell for any less now. It’s time to stay strong.

Winston, I’m going to disagree with you on all levels:
- we’re not a small insignificant club
- Man U are not the greatest club on earth
- Harry isn’t desperate to work with the managerial genius that is Ole
- Leicester shouldn’t just be ‘grateful’ for Utd to just want one of their players
- Rodgers doesn’t smell
- My dad is definitely bigger than yours.

Now stop being so arrogant and argue the point.

Okay, I'll concede on all points apart from my Dad. He's facking huge.

To be fair, I was also bluffing on my Dad, he’s tiny.

Don’t tell anyone though.

I think I've invented a new training technique.
Good for flexibility and strength in the hamstrings.

I agree.

And now is the time for Man Utd to walk away from what is a ridiculous deal, in my opinion.

Absolutely ridiculous fee set by Ricky Jervais aka Brendan Rodgers!
If Maguire wants to leave, he should hand in a transfer request and refuse to play.
👍

Rodgers?? This has nothing to do with Rodgers. He is merely the messenger. It’s our owners calling the shots and setting the fee / decling low ball offers

Must be a slow news day
Maguire turns up for training
No speculation

If the media were to be believed then we’ve already agreed a fee on 7 occasions and Maguire has had 37 medicals. Maguire wants to leave, nasty Leicester are “blocking” the deal for asking for the value they’ve placed on their asset and Man Utd have looked at 725 other, cheaper, alternatives without success.

What do we really know?
Man Utd made an offer
Leicester said: “nope, not enough”

Do we really know any more than that. Do we really know they offered £70m with add ons?

I don’t know what I know anymore ..... arrrrggghhhh!!!!

...... in terms of the OP then yes.

I’ve no idea whether Man Utd are “messing about” or not, but wouldn't it be lovely to just say: “it’s £80m (or whatever the figure is) before August 2nd or forget it”. And just leave the communication at that.

Much later than that and the domino effect is all a bit rushed. We rush to find a replacement and overpay, Brighton or Burnley then need to buy and may well just say no ..... and down the chain it goes.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Ed Woodward's office.

Except for the obvious danger of all the cobwebs around the fax machine.
