What happened to fans who said they would give Ole time. Our 3 previous managers had loads of experiences yet they couldn't handle bringing utd back to their glory days, let alone challenge for the title. All 3 of them tried to stamp their own authority and philosophy and they failed miserably.
I get Ole doesn't have much experience handling a big club but he has a vision and knows exactly what he wants at utd. Look at lampard at chelsea another inexperience manager who has no fears playing younger kids but he knows exactly what his vision for the club is.
The point i'm trying to make is the club is so damaged within the club instead of finding a quick solution and failing repeatedly again and again, how about we give a manager few seasons and see what he can build.
I believe Ole is the right person for the job, having played at utd for a long time under the greatest manager he knows exactly what he needs to do. Granted this is his first proper season as a utd manager he's promoted youth players and got rid of deadwood players even though we are short of players in the squad.
If anyone thought we will be challenging for the league this season there are deluded. The squad is so average we will need at least minimum 2 more windows to sort out the team. So far, Ole has bought the right players fixing our RB and CB position. Eventually he will get a striker, midfielders and hopefully a right winger (sancho).
Ole has criticized the team and he knows exactly what needs to be done but nothing can be done till he doesn't get rid of players who don't fit his system.
Giving Ole time??

"Try responding to a comment in relation to the article as opposed to being you and looking to drag another article into the Winston show."
"Probably been as much as you."
Seriously greatteams, are you even aware of this blatant hypocrisy?

Well, actually, I began commenting on the subject much earlier than that.
But you came along and just make a personal comment at me.
And then you blame me for the discussion becoming about me? Facking hell.

My initial comment was a gentle dig at Liverpool fans on here talking as if they have some detailed knowledge of Ole's tactics, when in truth, they've watched a handful of games on the TV.
=========
Imagine a world where the person who wrote this felt able to judge the atmosphere at Anfield compared to all the other grounds in the Premiership by watching on television.

I love the way that debates we've had stay with you like that.
However, this is a lie and you're deliberately taking what was said out of context because you're crying on this thread.

And on and on it goes. The Winston show.

Started by you, because of your obsession with me.
Classic greatteams.

Very early days to make that judgement though. I don't think we can really begin to make judgements about that until Feb/March.
By then, I want to see a more obvious style and I want to see that Ole is starting to finalise his decisions about the playing squad.
I have no issue in him trying to make it work with the likes of Fred and Rashford, but if it's not working then he needs to address that going into next summer.

I'm just going on the here and now. I'd love it if my impatience was ill-founded in this respect but I've a feeling it isn't.

I understand and share your concern. But we have to fight that urge and let it run.
The club is in a mess and it needs stability. At least Ole isn't going out and spending a fortune on old, unproven players - if the experiment doesn't work then we'll be fine.

I'm with Ole on pretty much everything apart from the midfield set up. I'd be delighted to be proved wrong though!

Yeh - that central midfield is a big, big problem.

Not really interested who the manager/coach is, but even if the rebuilding job wasn't going to take 6 years (and it is) it just makes sense to direct the club with a settled management set-up.
Any one of Moyes, LvG or Jose could have maintained United's position as a club to be feared, but instead the club chose to go through the motions, reacting rather than pre-empting.
Rebuildng the squad around experienced, capable and intelligent professionals is the first priority. Life, and football, really is that simple
