An ignominious end. Tragic really doubt he'll even get a testimonial now.

Testimonials are (or should be) a relic of the past. A fund raiser when they were on £100/week which helped them buy a pub (or a postmans bike in the case of King Kev).

None of them suspended by Derby. Seems they’ll have to wait till the court appearances in October.

That was always going to be the case, just because the media report they are back in training, don’t believe for a minute they will walk back in to the squad before the court case.

Yes, I would be amazed to see them back on the pitch. It would go down very badly with the supporters and would be just the kind of distraction that Cocu didn’t need. I can’t imagine Morris has any intention of allowing them to play for Derby again. They just have to wait till the guilty verdict in a few weeks before they can officially give them the boot, I guess.

Well, it's all very unfortunate but totally self-inflicted. The club too don't come out smelling of roses. It was ever likely to be an explosive set of circumstances and the club should have supervised it better. Maybe they thought it was only necessary to have the skipper there and he would ensure common sense applied. It very clearly wasn't. Keogh was a great performer for the club but I think his career is now at end. A very great pity! Thanks Richard for all you did. Sorry for your bad luck. Enjoy your retirement. I shall miss your whole hearted tackles and blocks and your distribution going forward.

As for MasonBennett and Tom Lawrence, we shall have to see what transpires in court. If they are jailed, I don't know what the club position is. I expect they will be still on our books and we would want to see some sort of re-habilitation. And then - sell on as the opportunity presents itself.

Can we get a centre-half who stays on his feet after a tackle please?

Once found guilty - and as they were on a club-organised ‘do’ - I imagine they will be sacked due to gross misconduct.
The only thing to consider is FFP implications?
And Keogh’s testimonial

I've always liked him as a player but not as Captain. It gets pointed out on here frequently that many managers disagreed and gave him the armband. But then again they did farm Martin out on loan so what do they know?

I still wonder why Huddz was in the squad if he was deemed to have been involved enough in this to be stripped of the captaincy as soon as he handed it once more details came out.
Also, if any of those 3 do play for Derby again I think I'll be guiding my nephews toward supporting a different team. They're old enough to see this stuff splashed across the news, and it would be an awful example for them to see those involved back in the team.
