Lampard made him vice-captain this week, which tells me three things:
1) Jorginho is not just an excellent player, but he is also a leader. You could see that even last season, when some players would have crumbled under the pressure from the boo boys - Jorginho clearly has a really tough mentality.
2) Lampard must foresee the day when James takes over from Azpi at right back - so he’s putting Jorginho in place to take over the captaincy.
3) Jorginho and Kanté are the first choice central pairing. Whoever else is fit and available, these are the two guys he prefers.

I’ve heard a few “Jorginho new lease of life under Lampard” etc in the press. When imo Jorginho (although good this year) has his best spell at end of last year over a 10 game span.

Not as strong as you'd think. There was strong elements of SarriBall in possession yesterday with the vertical passing patterns. Mount really stood out as the player Sarri needed last season to fill the Hamsik role.
One thing Lampard's nailing atm is seeing this season as experimental. He's playing with different systems, different in & out of possession triggers (minus the high press which is constant), different players in different roles, etc... not just forward thinking in terms of the young players, in terms of himself and what he's capable of. If AVB had of done that his time with us might've succeeded

I would seem so...I would have preferred Rudi as skipper, but if he's going to keep getting injured....
