Derby County v Middlesbrough
Pride(?) Park Stadium
1500
2nd November 2019
Now in our 12th transitional season, we continue to transit with a slightly disappointing display against Hull City. Coulda, shoulda, woulda as we huffed and puffed and still failed to impress. We've been spoilt in recent years and maybe as the transition gets more transit like we are perhaps finding a level that is less the Derby way and more the Taverners way (think Sunday morning at the Racecourse).
Off field matters don't help but I think with the help of scarcely believable sanctimonious Leeds fans, we will get through (think Boris and Brexit by 31st October - I've found a great ditch just between the Derwent and Shardlow).
There is still the belief that Cocu doesn't know his best team or if he does, he can't/won't play it. We remain unsure in defence, not dominant in midfield and lack service up front. But apart from that, nothing to worry about.
I understand that Anya and Keogh are unavailable but maybe, just maybe George Who could make a cameo. Huddz is a no (he's like the shadowy figure in a thriller who is there but no-one knows exactly what he has done ) but Jack Marriot may even star.
Team news is anyone's guess but Ang has reapplied for the post of announcing and barring usurping from Vidal,he may just do it.

Will, the faithful were shouting “Richard Keogh you should of walked home”
Lawrence got some pretty vocal support as did Mel Morris. So make of that what you will.
Steve Gibson came in for some stick and the south stand further suggested the Jonathan Woodgate msy be out of work in the morning.

Will Hughes is warming the bench again.....do we have room for him, and would he come home if we could find a £ or two in January?

We still aren’t running to make space and press the opposition, lil Duane being the notable exception.

To be fair, it has been such a crazy situation, I don’t tour really know how to react. It’s sure to dominate the terraces at the CG between the home and away fans next Saturday. Hope it doesn’t detract from the match.

The Boro fans did suggest that Lawrence should be in jail so I expect Forest will get on his back too. It didn’t seem to put him off his game though <wink>

Suppose this will dominate the build up........inevitable but a shame...........

Spart,
I'm a fan of Dwayne. He seems to work hard, has a positive attitude and is a decent skillful player as well. Plus, as you say, he looks for gaps that others dont seem to.

Holmes often buzzes around without there being any end product and there was a bit of that today, but he was unlucky to be just a couple of inches wide with one effort. He ought to get more goals really. If he could chip in with the occasional one like Lawrence does he would be a very useful player. Boro were so poor in every department that it would be a mistake to read too much into the changed formation but getting players closer to Martin has got to be a sensible thing.
