Normal service will soon be resumed

So then lads and lasses, it's only 6 days until the fixtures are out for the next 9 months of pain, hurt, disappointment and broken dreams. All the fun and games start again on Saturday 6th August.

What are your thoughts for how you'd like the new campaign to kick off?

One of the new bunch such as Stevenage, a local derby against Chesterfield, a promotion rival(I've put the mockers on it now!) such as Huddersfield, or perhaps even one of the two games we are most looking forward to against our erstwhile promotion hopefuls from the red side of the city.

Personally, I've got a feeling it will be none of the above and instead it will be a(no disrespect) non descript beginning against the likes of Tranmere or Colchester.

My bets for the derbies are the first one being at the Lane in September and the return in S6 in March. Hopefully we'll get a decent set of festive fixtures and who knows, for the first time in living memory we may even end the season on the road.

It's not long now, sorry housewives, normal service will soon be resumed.

i think it's quite clear that the real loser here resides in a pit village not far from Sheffield.

On the subject of the season's build up, anyone been daft enough to have an early punt on us winning promotion next season?
As customary, i will let heart rule head and have a cheeky little one. Wonder what the odds are for Sheffield clubs to exit the league in opposite directions?

Simple things eh.

Anyway, onto the football fans amongst us. As the Prof has brought up the subject of wagers. Well, I'm loathe to put money on us to go straight up as I've done so before with no success. But I wouldn't mind 20 of Her Majesty's finest English Pound's on us finishing above that mob from S2.

Exciting times ahead in the third division, eh....

Not an expert of lower league football...but I'll place a bet on next season's Derbyshire League...

1...Chesterfield..

2...Blunts..

3...Wendys..

This battle of the midlands will take place at the bottom end of the third division...

As we seem to be going off-topic, Sparty, where do you think Barnsley will finish and how much are you putting on it?
