Does anyone remember this from the BBC 606. Maybe we should do it again.
Our friend Kash from the dip board qualifies with this stunner.

Ole must be hitting the £200m mark now in his spending. Another chequebook manager.

Feel free to copy an other rather daft statements from today.

Without selling Benteke, Solanke, blah blah blah. Without TV money, without sponsorship, without match day income, without prize money.
Man Utd have made sales. And what?
Who the actual fvck cares? People who want to look down on other clubs, that's who.
Oooooo we're doing it the right way.
The reality is that within the game Liverpool have a terrible reputation for how we go about things from tapping up, to turning over youth players families, to being banned.
There is no right way. We make money and we sell it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with some of this but its a competition and if someone is getting doped to get ahead then you can never escape that fact, whether you like it or not.
You're telling me there's no difference between being bankrolled by oil money and using your own funds and wit to achieve glory?
IMO, people who deny such blatant facts only do it because of how unique it makes them feel and look, not that they really believe it.
That's insanely absurd IMO and we'll have to agree to disagree.

It probably wouldn’t have panned out exactly like that because you wouldn’t have needed to reinforce the midfield. However, financially you definitely could have afforded a few big summers regardless of that sale, which I think is the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So now its a few big summers? A bit of backtracking there.
All these I don't directly disagree with but you can't escape the fact that without that Coutinho money we would not have been able to do what we did.

You’ve completely changed topic there so not even sure how you’ve managed to sign off with let’s agree to disagree.
Look up player amortisation and how clubs calculate fees. And if you’re still of the opinion that the sale of one single player is what changed everything then fair enough.

I didn't say it changed everything. So selling a player has never enabled purchases?
That's what happened. Not saying that selling the player funded all the purchases.

You said without the sale it wouldn’t of been possible, so I’d say if that were true it did change everything. Going round in circles now though so let’s leave it at that.

What would Mamba do it if you gave him three shovels and told him to take his pick?

You're clearly wrong, just don't want to admit it.

I'd smack you over the head with each one.
Fact is Coutinho enabled our transfer activity, this is just another ocassion where people are trying to ignore the articulateness of Liverpool and trying to put down Liverpools never-seen-before-in-football-history-all-conquering-form to some sort of stroke of luck or expenditure.
We've done it like you don't want to believe. Sooner or later you'll have to accept it.

Actually it’s quite the opposite. If this one transfer was what enabled your transfer activity and subsequent success, then I’d say it’s you doing a disservice to everything else that was being done at the club to reinvigorate yourselves as a European powerhouse.
Think about that mamba, and choose your spade wisely.
