£192.60m isn’t too far off.

Not saying it was this but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a false flag operation designed to change the narrative about Ed.
Surely this takes the cake VC.

So we ignore the fact he has given x amount of games to players from the academy.
That is why it is a stupid comment.

wouldnt class him as a chequebook manager though, he's replacing players that have been sold ( some for a decent fee).. our net spend is hardly through the roof
Only person we have got any real money for is lukaku

Not to mention his own manager telling the world he doesn't want to spend his way to titles, only to break multiple transfer records to win titles.
Ummm what's the problem with this statement. I doubt any manager has spent more in world football in that time have they? Zidane maybe.

Certainly in the running. Robb is your classic conspiracy theory guy.
No, of course Ole’s deserves credit for bringing in youth, he’s managed Greenwood perfectly imo. But he has spent a lot, although Bruno hasn’t kicked a ball yet so no idea how well spent that money will become.
That was a tongue in cheek comment where i was returning the favor after certain fans were calling Klopp chequebook for spending the Coutinho money.
Ed Woodward house attack a false flag attack on the other hand
Ummm what's the problem with this statement
.....
The fact that he has been playing so many of our academy players instead of trying to buy a team.
I do believe PSG have spent more on one player than Ole has so far combined.
All managers would have to spend if they had taken over the mess Ole inherited, even Klopp.
Plus Ole has played and promoted youth as much as any other PL team, probably the most in fact.
Hardly worthy of a cheqwbook manager tag.

There are loads of managers who have spent a lot but I wouldn’t call them all chequbook. Managers. Especially when they are also building their teams with their own academy.
Pep at Barca and SAF for example.
only 2 have made a regular breakthrough to the first team squad. Hes hardly pulling up trees in that department.

williams, Greenwood, you could probably count mctominay too who has improved massively and Tuanzebe
R9. I think he's pulling up trees in that department. If you think more than two in half a season is possible, then I think you're mistaken. He has also given game time to others. He's doing a very good job with our academy prospects
This is from the other day. After folk on here were condemning the attack on Woodward's house...

You'd be absolutely delighted if you could promote 2 youth players per season into the regular first team squad.

The point, Stretty,, is that he is using players who have came through the academy, He isn’t buying a squad therefore being a chequebook manager.
