Not just because of this season, but for me it would have to be Klopp..........
Ewwww I feel the need to bathe in bleach just for admitting that publicly.
It is all to do with my perception. Whilst I no longer think Pep's a fraud etc, I still stand by my belief he's not done it where he's not pretty much had the best resources.
From what I can tell, Klopp's net spend (Although people say he's spent a lot) is still pretty impressive.
His Pool team are about to convincingly win the league and it's not out of bounds that they may yet successfully defend the Champions League.
I believe (although I could be wrong) Fergie has been quoted as saying when Pool hired Klopp it was the first time in a long time he was concerned about Pool, even though he'd retired by then.
Klopp or Pep?

That’s the money our club spent, as in Begiristain. If you’re saying we didn’t spend all of that money well in the summer and didn’t plug the right gaps, then I entirely agree.
No, your midfield would not all get into our team. They’d get into our squad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
?
Robertson, Firmino, Trent, Gomez, wijnaldum and Hendo
I named 3 defenders 2 midfielders and 1 attacker.
So you say those players wouldn’t get into your team?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said, they’d get into our squad. Defenders, Gomez would go straight into the team. As would Robertson if we were playing with out and out full backs, which we rarely do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah they'd go into the squad, bar two..
Yet they are our first team...
So, which is it?
does Klopp have an inferior squad compared to pep or not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends on what's convenient and can change from minute to minute.
We used to be told how inferior our players were. Hoping to challenge world class City with the likes of Hendo and Wij. Now we are told it was never that bad. As I said, depends on convenience.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had you not added world class players to play with those, then you wouldn't have. Hence why you had some of the players and didn't compete.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No we were told a team containing those players cannot challenge at the top especially with City and Pep in England.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Right and who was this we? As I’ve never said that, and given the conversation I was having was about my opinion, I’m not sure on the relevance of it.
If you’re making a wider point that a lot of football fans are myopic, partisan, hypocritical and stupid then yes I agree

They should never have got rid of Kompany without bringing in another natural leader.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn’t get rid of, but yes I agree with the point. Leaders like Kompany aren’t that easy to find though, he wasn’t one himself when we first bought him, he developed into it.
I don’t see anyone in our current squad that could take on the mantle though.

I don’t think you do have an inferior set of players. That aside though, the reason we have dropped off isn’t down to tactics. The system that Guardiola has had us playing still creates more chances (and concedes less) than any other team, our issue is the critical moments in both boxes.
Given that me thinking he’s the best tactical coach in the world is a sentiment shared by his peers (including your own coach) and has had an influence on football in general, it’s hardly a stretch to say he’s the best tactically.
I haven’t said Klopp is getting more out of his players chiefly because of motivation, I just said I thought he is better at that aspect than Guardiola is in general. I’ll reiterate again, I think he is excellent across the board
What do you want me to say? That Klopp is the best at every single aspect of management?

A combined XI for me would look something like
Alisson
TAA VVD Laporte Robertson
Fabinho
De Bruyne B. Silva
Salah Aguero Sterling
Really tough between Sterling & Mane

"We" refers to the people I was talking about in the post you replied to. Whether you belong in that group is something you will know for yourself. If I meant to talk about you I would have mentioned you directly. Was only explaining the same thing you talk about in your second paragraph here. I've never seen it coming from you tbh but your fellow City fans are full of it IMO.

I'd have Ferna ahead of Fab.
Ferna has done it in this league for many years. Fab still has something to prove IMO.

I have to say I find that difficult to believe. There was nothing between City and Liverpool up until a year or two ago so not sure why City fans would of been ‘full of it’ saying Liverpool would never compete with us playing the likes of Henderson.

Not tough at all. Personally I would have Firminho above Salah and Sterling.

Yeah I didn’t see it either. United fans saying it, yes!
