Klopp or Pep?

Pep all day, Klopp is dragged along by benefit of doubt from the officials and var, Pep`s teams play great football and are not gifted 20 extra points a season.

It baffles me how much credit Pep gets for his tactical astuteness, and how much Klopp doesn't.

Klopp shades it for me. I could see Klopp doing it at the likes of City, Bayern and Barca. Just couldn't see Pep doing it to the same level at which Klopp has done it for us and Dortmund

Klopp has a long way to go yet to get anywhere near Pep.

Do Spurs fans, or any fans, really believe this sheite. Or is it just a Pavlov's dog type reflex action? They've won every game bar one.

If Pep recovers a sleeping giant instead of just walking into one that's already at the top with unlimited funds then he can say he is the best. If he has any balls he will go to someone like AC Milan or Lyon, but I can guarantee he will run off to PSG when he fails to win the CL with Man City

Why sh he, to suit you. Of course he will go to a big club, he'd be daft not to.

Pep's track record is in a different league to Klopp's. For all Klopp's achievements (and they genuinely are impressive) he's only won, what, 2 league titles (soon to be 3), a couple of cups and a Champions League. Like I say, genuinely impressive, but not even close to Pep's trophy cabinet.

Klopp is flavour of the month because this current Liverpool side is sweeping all before it, and that's fair enough. But that's massively helped by the fact that of the other top 6 teams, all bar City have completely fallen apart in the past couple of years.

Compare that to Pep winning everything on offer even when up against Real Madrid under Mourinho (who was actually a good manager back then). Pep winning everything on offer at Bayern (including beating Klopp in the league every year). Pep smashing the past 2 seasons at City, during which he was also up against Klopp.

This isn't a Klopp-bashing comment. I don't like the guy personally but he's clearly an amazing manager. But saying he's better than Pep is nonsense on any objective measure.

In terms of trophies true but looking at them both over past two seasons you'd have to say they're pretty much on a par and out on their own as Europe's leading managers.

Klopp's been in management for 20 years and has won like 6 trophies. Pep won that much in one season with Barcelona. The fact they're uttered in the same sentence together is absolute delusion.

This is it mate he's a top manager that any top club would want, you rarely see top people in any walk of life take a job below the level they're currently at.

Correction, he's won 4 major trophies. Even worse.

Absolute rubbish and typical ABL cope. City's points total assuming they maintain their rate this season is still enough to win the league most seasons and beats pretty much ever Fergie points tally. We have just gone up another level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That doesn't invalidate any of the points I've made.

I also don't know what "typical ABL cope" is so I doubt I'm guilty of it

it is small scouse peeeenis syndrome, the whole country is out to get them when they've got the entire media on their side licking their toes.

Pep won the league two years in a row, that's the marker he's set

Klopp came to the league declaring to the media and his fans, he will never spend silly money on buying players, and promptly ditches his principles to join Pep in spending large, the man he criticised

And now, he rests his main players and hides then behind the kids in cup competitions, like the FA Cup.

It's sure as hell Klopp doesn't measure up to Pep. Had the league not been so weak and the confusion that has helped certain teams not be prominent, the outcome would have been way different

And Pep beat Klopp because he literally took all his best players. Imagine if Klopp took Laporte, De Bruyne and Aguero from City and then still bottled the CL. That's Buyern under Pep.

Klopp bottled it with 7 points clear last Xmas, ahead of Pep and lost to Pep

In terms of the amount of silverware he's won, yes, obviously.
Probably won't ever match that.
In terms of his managerial ability, he's well on a par with the Spaniard.
