Who has done better (this season) with the resources available to them?

not blaming the manager but the players. i will judge Jose next season if we can sort our defence out.
this season we have rode our lucky to probably doubt the points we deserve tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rode our luck.....like Kane rupturing his hamstring, & Sisokko doing his knee. Like Lo Celso missing a last minute sitter vs Liverpool, like Sterling staying on the pitch when he should have seen red, like Son getting a 3 game ban for tickling Rudiger with his foot.
Sure we've benefited from a few things in our favour but we have also been on the wrong end of things as well!

Ancelotti's Everton have faced:
Arsenal(h) (Not sure he was even in charge at this point)
Burnley(h)
NUFC(a)
Man City(a)
BHA (h)
WHU (a)
NUFC (h)
Watford (a)
Palace (h)
so not exactly a testing set of fixture so far under him. Basically 6 bottom half teams, Man City and Arsenal.
Jose's Spurs have faced City Liverpool Chelsea Wolves and Utd in his time (12 league games).
Havent watched EFC under him so cannot comment on how well they appear to be playing. Results are decent - 2 pts per game is solid top 4 form - but it has been largely against the weaker teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a no brainer. Didn't Ancelotti lose to Liverpool reserves.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And you'd know all about having no brains.

Robertson, Cantwell and Capoue all should have seen red against us also, not to mention all the penalties we are denied, it seems rugby tackling our players in the penalty area and dangerous leg breaking tackles are perfectly acceptable against us.

1. We were just as bad with Kane and Sissoko
2. Kane gets injured every season and had a long lay off at the end of last season also.
3. Sissoko is actually awful and people are overrating him because he was decent last season when we had little midfield options and he can burst forward a little with power.
4. GLC wasnt last minute, maybe last 5 minutes
5. Dermot Gallagher said it wasnt a red so it cant of been
6. Sons ban was deserved because Dermor Gallagher probably said so

Apparently Lloris is 6ft 2 which is no doubt nonsense. Shortest 6ft 2 bloke I've seen since BBH.

Everton have a lot of difficult fixtures left yet, I will be surprised if they are within 10 points of Spurs come the end of the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've just looked at the fixtures and besides Liverpool, the sides Everton are playing are much of a muchness. The hardest fixtures are Liverpool and City of course, and the teams fighting relegation.

Always a chance to sort that. Especially with Carlo at the wheel.
