No the question is how much taint do you like?

Thing is, typical tax avoidance criminal laws will have a much higher burden of proof than UEFA will need as a private organisation to make a judgement on whether their rules have been broken.

You can know that a company cheated on their taxes but if all their paperwork lines up and you can't prove it, it's worthless. It's why we see bans in sport all the time that aren't followed up with court proceedings.

At the end of the day, City took the pizz. We all know they did, and as much as it's fun watching a club do an 'unlimited budget FM special' in reality it's bad for the sport. I think this judgement goes to show that they have got themselves on the wrong side of the line, probably because they were complacent.

True and I do hope this case will hold at CAS. As a neutral viewer it has been fun watching City while it lasted. Players in their prime (De Bruyne, Mahrez) will have to make some tough choices if they want to win the CL and more championships in their career.

Lol exactly. 1 point behind the cheats last season (should hand us that trophy tbh). And 22 points ahead of the cheats this season, before a possible points deduction.

No CL for City. Not in my lifetime.

No point in deducting points this season. Wait til next season

of course its to do with the players!

You can bet players know they and their agents are getting paid under the table just like how rangers got done.

you think city have only doped the revenue side of the equation? they have most likely also cut their wage bill by paying the players and pep out of the same companies. for "consulting" or whatever.

I'd grant the "fans" clearly have nothing to do with it.

But city "fans" aka those not with the club down in league 1 times probabaly wouldn't see the vast complex being built with no thought to expense and vast resources being applied are the self same doping.

Real city fans will know all about maine road and how real clubs struggle to build good facilities never mind have an u23 stadium thats better than some prem gounds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I doubt it. I don’t think a lot of top tier players have any concept of money, their in goings or outgoings.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
of course they do. and you can be sure their agents do!

what's my cut?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As I say I don’t think most players have a grasp of their own finances let alone those of the club they work for. Believe what you want though.
