Man City vs Arsenal postponed

Just read Wednesday nights game is postponed due to coronavirus fears from the Arsenal 1st team squad. They are all going into voluntary self isolation for 2 weeks having been in contact with the Olympiakos squad last week (whose owner has contracted the virus).

West ham will probably be considering the same as theyโ€™ve just played us. This is really going to snowball I feel...

"........As a result of this exercise we identified that a number of players met the Olympiacos owner immediately following the game......"

Why on earth would our players be having a post-game meeting with the owner of a club that had just knocked us out of a Cup?

That's the kind of thing you expect to see on a Panorama exposé about some dodgy Russian Cup competition.

So the game was 13 days ago, and they should self isolate for 14 days from the last time they had contact. So today and tomorrow.

Seems to be the case now I’ve read the article properly ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿป‍โ™‚๏ธ I’m still an advocate of just binning this season though ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah, they should postpone the rest of this season, and play the remaining games during the close season next year.

Wolves say their Europa League last-16 first-leg match at Olympiakos is an "unnecessary risk" after Uefa rejected their request to postpone the game.

The match in Greece on Thursday will be played behind closed doors because of the coronavirus outbreak.

My bet is more on Sokratis and Özil to be honest.

Olympiakos can't afford Ozil. Turkish football, yes, cause of lower tax and his god status with the turks.

This fixture is really cursed isn't it. Think this is the beginning of the end for this years season.

Olympiakos are interested in taking Sok & Xhaka off of us? Well that's the most positive news I've heard in weeks. I'd be delighted with £30-£35m for the pair.
