You are talking about Sissoko here. He is a terrible finisher. His conversion rate is 6%. What do you think that falls to on just his left foot? 2%? 1%?

But oh yeh, genius stuff from VVD to keep him on his left foot and block the pass to the much more talented Son.

If you want to kid yourself that ensuring that one of the worst finishers in the league stays on his weak foot is world class defending then fair enough. For me it was the obvious choice.

What? I don't mock anybody for their opinions on Scholes. Scholes was a great player but in my opinion he has got better since retiring in the eyes of many. That has always been my feeling on Scholes. No idea where you got that nonsense from.

The levels of delusion if United fans on here is definitely at an all time high and this thread is an excellent example of it. Some great stuff in here, to come back to and laugh at, at a later date.

Nothing delusional about saying that showing a player onto his weak foot and blocking a pass to a much better player is basic. As I have said, he executed it well, but it wasn't anything mind blowing. Common sense at any level.

Under immense pressure though, to keep your composure enough to not only make this decision but also execute it to perfection is highly impressive.

Still, its why a lot of 2 in 1s in the box end up in row Q.

Its basic stuff. Just show the player on the ball onto his weak foot and block the pass.

Easy peasy.
