A team can batter a team, and still not win.

All other sports don’t have that, because of their scoring systems.

In other sports if you play well, you will win.

Not football.

When this is over you gotta get out more, son!

Does anyone think behind closed doors could actually help us? It would remove a lot of the pressure put on the players, and allow them to play a more natural game.

You know why football is greatest game on earth.

TENSION

Two reasons for that

The tribalism of fans who go to games.

And because it is hard to score, meaning most games, are not totally decided until the final few minutes.

A team can batter a team, and still not win.

All other sports don’t have that, because of their scoring systems.

In other sports if you play well, you will win.

Not football.

So take away the fans, you take away that tension

Said this before on here. Football is one of the most unfair sports. I can't think of another sport in which the better season will lose more often than football.

That's what makes it so great.

Haha...I think we’ve all been in lockdown too long...but I’d stay a year if it meant even one life.
Not a cheap shot matey... just trying to acknowledge that as serious as things are, you gotta have a second or so just keepin it light or you’d go crazy.

And its weird you know cos I agree with other posters on this thread that watching a match with no fans isn’t good....so why is it that I’ve watched everyone of the those FIFA 2020 games that’s been against our scheduled opponents each week since lockdown...and I feel just a tense watching that when wanting us to win !!

you lucky sod. here in canada i get every PL game but only a handful of championship games.
all this changes next year. finally after almost 2 decades.

absolutley this... in a wierd way, its about winning and losing in the end of course, getting promoted or missing out, but its feelings you get.. somehow getting promoted without the tension, the buzz you'd get around the groud, or the buzz in general life knowing that Tuesday week you only need a point, but there's that doubt you have that we're going to fall apart, just isn't the same.

Thats what makes it for me.. been handed promotion, I'd feel cheated of the madness !!

I know you didn't that as such LIW, I went off on a tangen, but you know what I mean
