Curious to know why teams in the bottom 6 are crying about home advantage. If stadiums are empty why does it make a difference???? If Villa Park is completely fan-less, how is there any advantage to the home side? This is ridiculous in my opinion and an attempt by certain clubs to get relegation suspended; which absolutely shouldn't happen. Playing at neutral venues makes zero difference and football can't wait forever.

having said all this, we're nowhere near being ready even neutral grounds behind closed doors, so doesnt really matter, glad theyre consulting and talking with all the teams in the league too, and hopefully it will require a majority vote or w.e not jsut decided for them.

Has to be a majority of 14 teams I believe.

We are completing this season in the summer when the virus should be under control. The NHS will get stretched again in the winter and this was before we had covid.

Who says it will be under control in the summer?
"The pandemic of the COVID-19 disease extended from China across the north-temperate zone, and more recently to the tropics and southern hemisphere. We find no evidence that spread rates decline with temperatures above 20 oC, suggesting that the COVID-19 disease is unlikely to behave as a seasonal respiratory virus."

We are beyond the peak. The rate of infection and deaths are coming down. The R value is now under control. In other countries where restrictions have eased there has been no significant spike. Summer is the best time to play football as winter is unpredictable.
Do you even watch the news?

30th April and 1st May were actually the second and third highest days for new cases, and a second peak in terms of deaths is expected over the summer months.

Question to the OP. I have just seen the grounds that are likely to be used as neutral venues, including Villa Park. Do you think if Villa played their remaining 10 games at Villa Park (as a neutral venue) it would be fair?

Very much doubt Villa will play at Villa park as that defeats the purpose of it being neutral

But the OP states that without home fans the advantage is taken away. So it becomes neutral.
