Liverpool FC had a huge 2 years build up of momentum until Covid-19 hit.Imagine being a Liverpool player thinking of scoring the goal to win the title,or the goalkeeper or defender stopping the goal to deny the title.
Put yourselves in the Liverpool players shoes, you have dominated the league from almost day one of the campaign.Week in week out you have won games through being the best team, but also because in normal circumstances you are not the best but because of momentum and belief you pull off a result that normally wouldn't happen.
It's the middle of March, the lead is so vast it's a matter of when not if and suddenly the league is suspended.Liverpool players with 5 points to secure the title with 9 games to go now are sitting at home wondering IF not WHEN they are going to be crowned champions.
Scenarios are void the league with no winner, cancel the league and AWARD Liverpool the league despite them not winning it mathematically or play in neutral stadiums behind closed doors.
First scenario is a killer for LFC,second and third is winning by proxy or winning with no one to celebrate the victory, both will be a major downer for the players.Imagine winning your first title for 30 years and either being awarded it or winning it behind closed doors, both options would be a killer when it comes to momentum.
No matter how you look at it,as regards momentum,LFC are going to be the major losers when it comes to the league restarting
Momentum is a huge thing in football

Here’s a question.
If Liverpool sign Werner this summer and it takes a while for him, and the team, to adapt to each other as they’re looking to freshen up their attack, and as a result Liverpool’s form suffers in the first half of the season, will it really be because they couldn’t celebrate with the fans?

Here's answer. I Liverpool sign someone or not, but don't have the same determination, cutting edge, drive as last season, and finish say third, the we will know the reason why.

Is this a wum or does 52 actually believe this tripe?
I thought 52 was a reasonable member of the United board. Can somebody explain this as he's about to go in the same box as Morespunk.

Liverpool famously lost momentum in 2014 and 2018.
It could quite easily happen again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. Why did Liverpool lose momentum on those occasions? Was it because they couldn't celebrate with the fans?
They lost momentum mostly because they lost top players and/or didn't strengthen the squad.
This article has to be bookmarked. If ever there was an Idiosyncratic article then this is it.
If you need an example of how thick people act on social media, this article isnt too bad. We should be making the news here. This is another level of stupid.
Congratulations to the OP and 52.

This article was funny, to be fair. The OP saying Liverpool will lose momentum because they cannot celebrate with the fans.

No you? Was reading an article earlier where somebody had put Maidenhead instead of United and thought I'd check the Maidenhead board. This caught my attention. It's a classic.
