Journo on twitter Mark Ogden stating championship is close to confirming restart on june 6.
Really want us to play out our remaining games and winning promotion.
Also in an ideal world would love Norwich Villa and Brighton to be relegated.
One minute they moan about safety of players but then say its ok to play if relegation is scrapped.
Its a massive challenge to complete season but i need to be optimistic as been on a massive downer for a while now.
Winning promotion

A footballers job is about as non-essential as it gets.
If they are instructed they’re back at work, then where does this leave everyone else in lower risk roles?
A match day team will have around 50 people involved, all in close proximity. Clubs have players already testing positive for the virus.
Ambulances will have to be on standby incase someone gets injured, taking them away from other roles.
And then there’s the footballers themselves. It’s a deadly virus; is there anything to prove it doesn’t cause long term respiratory problems?
A player could be ruining their career by playing and contracting the virus, which would be a legal nightmare.
If a player dies, is it corporate manslaughter?
Think it’s a joke it’s even being considered.

People who can't work from home have been allowed to go back to work.
You make some good points but why isn't there a concern for long-term respiratory problems for the common man?
Its not just footballers that are at risk of this, everyone is at risk and yet people are going back to work and by the time football resumes, even more restrictions will have been lifted and players won't be testing positive by then I suspect.
Why don't the same legal issues apply with other workers? Covid could ruin anyone's career if we're being honest.
Furthermore, players will be one of the safest groups of workers in the country. Enjoying so many privileges that other workers will not.
And finally, it is in the interest of football that this happens as the industry supports thousands of jobs and businesses.

Completely agree

Historically footballers have been taking the field with the risk of getting AIDs, viruses and the flu from other players. They risk broken limbs, concussions and other serious injuries. It’s a contact sport. Life is full of risks!
Normality slowly teeming for all. This will just be a part of that in a few weeks.
Time to not panic, stay calm and carry on!

Agree with the points you’ve made. It’s too early for people to be going back to work and continuing in their roles.
I’ve not had a day off since this virus started, and I have family members that are frontline in the NHS.
I just don’t see how/why football should return yet.
Only point I’d pick up on is that footballers rely on their respiratory system more so than someone who’s profession isn’t being an athlete.
But otherwise, I feel it’s ludicrous football will be continuing soon.

Asda are a horrible company to work for.
If you have an opinion on anything or dare to critisize anything then your branded a trouble maker.
Luckily i dont have to have much too do with any of the muppets in charge.
My mentality is all the good stuff i do like going the extra mile for some customers is i do it for the customers and because i like helping nice people.
None of it is for the company.
Obviously we get a discount card to use in store but we dont even shop there anymore. I hate the thought of giving them a single penny of my hard earned misely wage they give me.
