Liverpool's title win

How do you think their fans feel about this season's win?

Everyone knew they would win back in February/March yet they had to wait until late June to confirm it, by then it was kind of like meh, we know already -not that too big a deal.

Even the Liverpool supporting members of my family were not as fussed as I expected them to be.

It's made even worse now that the game after winning the title, they are getting an absolute hammering, made to look like a lower league team by a fairly injury ravaged City.

As a die hard United fan, this season has not bothered me as much, if at all, as when City won their first title or when Chelsea stole it from us all those years ago.
It's a bit of a meh season and I'm glad it's happened to Liverpool of all clubs, just hope they don't win it next year.

I am sure that they are still very happy, but there is no doubt that the way things have panned out has taken some of the gloss off their achievement. I have to say that I'm not even half as annoyed at them winning the title as expected. I guess its been the break and how the season has become a bit of irrelevance in light of what is going on in the world.

Well even in spite of all that there appears to be a lot of people still upset about it? We're as popular as ever with opposition fans.

I don't think people really are upset. You are just saying that to make yourself feel better/wum. My experience is that there is a general apathy towards football at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From what i've seen on here and my other social media feeds i beg to differ, oppo fans are clearly hurting.

Some will be of course. But it's not anywhere near the levels it would have been had the season run its normal course I don't think.

maybe not, not important to me though im a football fan and a liverpool fan not overly interested in other clubs n fan rivalry myself. bit of banters fine but those who let it consume them and become genuinely hateful are and always have been pathetic in my eyes.

Yeah I agree with that.

I’m sure Liverpool fans are over the moon. At the same time, I’m sure they would have preferred an Agueeeeeroooo moment or something similar. It’s human nature to enjoy something when it goes right to the wire.
I actually think it’s a real shame that it’s happened during Covid. It’s been their year for 29 years and now it actually is and they can’t celebrate it properly!!

Poor bastrds

“Have you not been reading through the forum lately? There are a load of very upset people.”

What are these lies being peddled by some Liverpool fans?

We’ve known Liverpool would win the league for months now, why would anyone be suddenly upset by it?

Mind you, this is TOOR, you genuinely believes Liverpool are treated differently to any other club.

So odd.

There are some that appear to have taken it rather badly.

Based on what?

Just the usual forum antics to me - same as when any other team does well.

It's mainly the WUMs that you would expect it from anyway.

Absolutely. Don’t think anyone is upset, just like I don’t think Liverpool fans were upset when United won it.

Lifting the trophy, having parades, YNWA etc - that’s just the spectacle.

For me, it’s about knowing you’re on top again. England, Europe and the World. It doesn’t get better than that.

Europe was last year Metro.
But if I was a Liverpool fan I would be as chuffed as any other year.
As a United fan, speaking only for myself, I'm not hurt at all, it's not like when you were winning it nearly every year. Plus I'm enjoying the progress United have made.
