I just don't understand why you would rest Jimmy Anderson. I for one feel, he is yet to prove himself in the sub-continent and had he gone to India this winter, he'd have been found out (Like he was at the WC). Stuart Meaker is a decent bowler from what I've seen, am pretty sure he can hit the high 80's and touch the 90 mph mark, I have seen him do it.
This is England's big test... Will the English bowlers withstand the violence India throw at them on tracks, which will provide little for the bowlers?
I for one feel, in the ODI scene some people are going over the top about England...Botham, Nasser all thinking they have the 2015 WC wrapped up already. First, consistently prove yourself around the world in the ODI format then talk...I'm fine with the hype about Tests and performing well because I think it's true, but hold your horses till you show a decent performance in the sub-continent!
Can England Handle The Heat?

Mainly looking for Test wins in Asia this (our) winter though. Which will be very, very tough.

Hope for a good series and not too many controversies. Or too many injuries. I have a feeling that some great retribution awaits England in India. Hope they go easy below the line on cricinfo.

No one's saying that Anderson is injured! But go ahead...
I'm saying India are favourites for a big win. Any less would be a disappointment for them. So no need to 'create a diversion'!

Because England do badly away. And India do well at home. It'd be quite close in Tests. But India do better in ODIs than England.
An England win in India in ODIs would be an amazing achievement. And isn't to be expected.
I'm tired too...

The problems are the mental scaring. if England bowl well in the first few overs. India will not know wether to stick or twist. They will know they need 280+ with their bowling not been top notch. But attacking they may lose wickets.. And Indian batting line up isnt as strong as people make out..

India would destroy us in the upcoming ODI series.Anything other than a 0-5 defeat would be a pleasant surprise.
But I am sure we will beat Pakistan very comfortably in both Tests and ODIs.
