Seeings as so far no-one else has mentioned this, I thought I'd just bring to attention how Mark Hughes has offered his two-pence worth over the Tevez saga, exemplifying why I always felt that the man was a bit of a twanger. He said last night:
"There is obviously no relationship whatsoever, or you would imagine given the events of this evening, with the manager. That needs to be mended and if it can't then something else has to happen."
Doens't take Columbo to read between the lines there. No doubt he still has it in for Mancini as if it was his fault he was sacked, rather than it being due to the fact that he squandered millions on pony players lIke RSC, Adebayor and Bridge.
But really it's no surprise that Mark Hughes is an expert on manager-player relationships, given that he was so spectacularly inept at handling the likes of Robinho and Elano. Does he really think he could manage Tevez? And is it not a bit rich of him to make a point about the player's behaviour given that he was the one that brought Tevez to the club in the first place (leaving him with the aforementioned cluster of overpaid wastes-of-space that Mancini has worked hard to rid from the club)?
Our owners have made a lot of good decisions since taking over our club, and a lot of brave ones. Sacking Mark Hughes, despite being up against an informal union of managers and the tabloid press, perhaps go down as their best one yet.
Sorry, Mark, but who cares what you think?

Found it highly amusing that, when asked to respond to the whole "Carlos refusing to play" issue, Hughes' opened with "The problem with Carlos is he always wants to play".

He's in the same Kia O'ra camp so there is no way he will upset Mr Advisor.
But he came across as a total chump on Sky last night. Have to say I thought Souness was superb, he told it exactly as it should be.

Do you think Hughes can say more than 2 or 3 sentences without saying, "It's well documented"? x
