Well, we need to improve on last season - that means Forest need to get a 0:5 win against QPR
Somehow I get the feeling that won’t be the case and that Mark Warburton will have them in better shape this time around
To be honest, a Draw wouldn’t be disastrous, I’d happily settle for a 0:1 win, so long as we show an improvement on some of our performances of last season - saying that, we were so much better away from home than at home, so it’s hard to know what to expect
I just hope we show more shape, enthusiasm, guile, effort, togetherness and creativity than what we showed last Saturday
If we’re gonna make something of this season, then we really need to get to grips on how we play consistently as a team....AND TO MAKE SURE, WE CUT OUT CONCEDING THOSE BLOODY, APPALLING, AND SOUL DESTROYING 90+ MINUTE GOALS
Personally, I don’t know what to think about the up and coming season, there’s a sense of apathy already
Hopefully it’ll pass, and things will look a bit more positive - a good result against QPR to get us up and running would certainly help

Rev, I ain’t sitting on the fence on this one, I predict he will be gone by the end of October and he will have no one to blame but himself. Apparently we are linked with yet another defender, why did we sign Bong on a 2 year deal if we ain’t going to use him, what is wrong with Jenkinson ??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, I agree dave
Some of his decisions on and off the field are baffling
It just seems we take on anyone and everyone who’s looking for their next easy move
Welcome to the Hotel City Ground
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We signed Bong as cover, for a promotion push. No doubt he was in the last year of his contract and demanded a two year deal. Turned out he was wink, so we don’t play him and are looking for a new LB (Operi).
Have I missed something with Ribs not playing?
Jenkinson 🤣 I thought I was drunk last night! He’s 2nd choice at best! Again, brought in as cover for a player who was converted into a RB, who we sold for 14m!
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Figs? He’s been responsible for many of our goals conceded. He didn’t even seem bothered about the penalty. At one point arguing with Worrall ffs?! If he wants to go back to Portugal, please let him go!
We had effectively a new LB, RB and AM playing today. All of those did ok, Oh...and Colback! Who hasn’t played for a year!
Gabriel is surely not first choice? But, he was one of our most promising academy players before horrific injuries, plus, he is 21!
QPR had a few very good players. London Dykes looked very good.
It’s game one of a loooong season.
Yes, results speak for themselves, I’m not that optimistic. However, I do feel I see a broader view than some....Rev...I’m looking at you here mate!!! 🤣 I think we’re both glass half full people, but yours is now full of sand! Just enjoy the ride.
I’ll start judging us in 5 games and yes, I do feel Sabri has a short time to get this right. I’d say 3 more games until the International break. Harsh, but that’s football.
Does he need a plan B? Yes. Could we have won it today? Definitely. He got us to 7th in his first season. He then changes his whole back room staff and up until the final minutes we were well in it. Yates, hit the post!
I loss $270 on the horses yesterday, but then put $1k on Arsenal to win at 1.62! Even with my drinks I think I’m $300 up! Maybe that’s why I’m happy?
Anyway, see you next week. I need to go back to bed!
Cheers all 👍

I just say it as I see it mate - you don’t have to agree with me, that’s the whole point of opinions
Yes it’s early days, but going by last week and today’s performance, it doesn’t look good - the manager has a very short time to start getting the team playing, and more importantly, getting results, and the more we get of what we had today, the tighter the noose around his neck will get

Morninchile, you can’t afford to take back up players in on good wages with a two and half year deal, we did the same with Benny the Loon and Pants, it’s financial suicide in this division. I am not sure how much SL has input on some of these signings, but some really are poor. Because of the ineptitude of the last 10 or so performances and SL’s inability to change I personally don’t think he will last more than half a dozen games, unless things change dramatically.

It's an 18-month deal for Bong Dave.
That reads hilariously...Bong Dave!
Benny the loon should be out of contract according to Transfermarkt? His only goal was against Derby County. He was also signed by MON. Not a great signing...but pretty sure SL had nothing to do with it!!
Didn't Pantilimon have the most clean sheets in his first full season here? Just checked and it was 15 in 44 games. He was susceptible to a mistake and never came off his line. He was signed by AK, not SL.
I get your point on signing poor players, but which club doesn't? I'd say SL has a 33-50% hit rate of good players. Samba and Ribieiro have been superb. Sow has been great (when fit), Silva did well in his first full season and Ameobi great business on a free.
I agree that I don't think he'll last the next few games, if we carry on like we are. However, the players the next manager will have at his disposal are night and day above what he has shipped out.

Very appy wiv three points and newcomers Dickie and Dyke look like money well spent. But as many on ear ave said you let us play and opposition strikers won't be as wasteful. I'm now not arf as worried as I was about dis season. Onwards to Coventry or I should say Birmingham.

Calm down lads. It's still nailed on certs for a Derby, Forest 1,2.
Just means Derby are going to be crowned champions on alphabetical difference, but 2nd is still automatics, not to be sniffed at.

I think he has six games to secure his future (not 5 Morningchile). Six games takes us to El Cloughico the traditional time for sacking managers.
That's enough for him to turn it round. Samba, Figs, Worrall, Ribs, Lolley, Ameobi, Lolley , and Grabban were all first choice in the team that got us to seventh in the league. Add to that Darikwa, Sow, and Freeman and we have a good starting eleven. On the bench we have Smith, Blackett, Bachirou, Silva, Mighten, Taylor, Guerrero. Then there is Soh, Colback Johnson,Carvalho, Jenks, da Costa.
We have the players. It is down to the coach to select a team of eleven fully fit players who know and can execute their roles.
Sabri's team selections and substitutions are starting to remind me of Montannier.
We need to get back to basics. Decide on the best formation for the players we have, and get them organised, disciplined, and motivated.

That’s the worrying thing, we certainly have the players....but the organisation, the tactics, the approach and mentality all seem way off
Why he has us playing defensively is crazy, we showed against Leeds last season, if we attack and have the right mentality, we can destroy any team in this league
The manager has instilled a mentality of fear into the players, to defend, defend and defend - that only gives the opposition more confidence to attack
And once they’ve made the breakthrough, then the pressure just multiplies on us to respond - it crazy tactics, and totally unnecessary - such a waste of the talent we have at our disposal
