It is totally unbelievable how we managed to actually pull that one off
Yes REV only Forest could have pulled that one off. Afterwards I was probably as down as I have been since Yeovil.
But over the weeks since I got over it and with the quality of the summer signings was feeling quite excited and optimistic.
Then came Barnsleh and the rumours surrounding Joe Worrall, and like you was hit with a double helping of despair.
All is not lost though. QPR. They've lost Eze, Hugill, and Wells. How must their fans be feeling. It could actually be 0-5 you know. But only if SL has had a big change in approach which I don't think will be the case.
Cashy and Worrall will be missing from the back 4, but as QPR have little to offer attacking wise we should still cope. Watson and Sow will also be missing, but we should take a slight risk and let Jack Colback take on a solo DM role. play a diamond midfield with Ameobi and Lolley (Mighten if not fit) wide; and Freeman behind Grabban and Taylor.
But that would be too risky looking for SL. I'm expecting same old 4-2-3-1 (so will Warbs) so either a narrow 0-1; or QPR to equalise in the 97th minute.

With the new additions to the squad I'm hoping to see more possession football; after all we have all seen that last seasons tactics won't work over a season, especially one starting a month late.
Don't know why your so pessimistic Rev. We ave a side cobbled together for next to nuffin. We still retain both Bright Samuel and Ryan Manning and it's possible they could play tomorrow but I'm not sure their hearts will be in it. To be onest we're a very unbalanced side wiv a dodgy keeper, old crocks and some very physically lightweight players. But aving said dat I'm always opeful for a win at ome.
Just don’t fancy our chances without Watson. Shame he’s leaving but guess it’s his choice. Colback is decent but he’s not a leader like Watson and we don’t have anyone else with that sort of experience.

CLASSIC
you’ve already made me feels better
Lolley, Sow and Worrall confirmed fit. Just Silva missing.
Samba
Darikwa Worrall Blackett Ribieiro
Colback Sow
Lolley Freeman Ameobi
Grabban
Smith Jenkinson Figs Watson Carvalho Da Costa Taylor
Soh is a big statement. Maybe we're going three at the back after all?
Thanks for the comments Drum. Depending on both team selections I might go big on this one.
I was forgetting.......it will be welcome back to the Championship and to Loftus Road for Freeman. Shame we can't judge what reception he would ave ad.
Why would we buy Guerrero and Taylor and leave them on the bench?
Why would Taylor come to us if Sabri told him he would be playing with one striker this season and it would be Grabban?
Grabban was out on his feet towards the end of last season; Sabri had drained all the energy out of him, which he had to do really - he had no other realistic option.
But if Sabri wants to play with a lone striker I think it would suit Taylor more than Grabban.
We didn't create enough from midfield last season. Freeman may be able to improve that. If not then Taylor and Grabban together might create goals for each other - it would certainly give Grabban a bit more room.
I agree, he has GOT to play 2 up front
Afternoon all.
Despite everything, I hope you all had a good summer after the disappointment of the last match of last season.
Afternoon Bosque and others
Ribiero and Sow not in squad. Or Carvalho for that matter but that’s expected. Would much rather have Silva fit bit hopefully Freeman and Lolley can do the job today. Not sure why lots of Forest fans seem to dislike Yates. He’s a solid DM and should help Colback today. Would rather it was Watson and Sow but we should forget about them.
Samba
Lawrence-Gabriel
Figueiredo
Worrall
Blackett
Yates
Colback
Lolley
Freeman
da Costa Jóia
Grabban
I see only three attacking players there and no creative midfielder?
Afternoon all!
Grabban, Lolley, Da Costs and Freeman so that’s 4 Bear!
Freeman will be the creative force
No sign of Manning, not even on the bench but Bright starts. I fink Warburton was quoted during the week as saying he would only play players dat are committed to the club.
Be interesting to See how freeman gets on. Hopefully he is the attacking midfielder we have needed for a long time
"Freeman will be the creative force". I ope not.
